Socio-pedagogical coordinator for resource and inclusion initiatives at Munkholmskolen
Are you passionate about creating the framework for good, inclusive schooling? Are you strong in facilitation, coordination and cross-disciplinary collaboration? Then you might be our new socio-pedagogical coordinator at Munkholmskolen.
At Munkholmskolen we value community, well-being and high academic standards. We are seeking an engaged and structured coordinator who can function as the central link around our students with special challenges and the development of practice at the classroom and intermediate-form level. Your primary task will be to ensure a consistent strand in the school’s resource pathways and facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration.
About the position and your primary tasks
As coordinator you will play a key role in translating the school’s inclusion visions into concrete, tangible actions in daily life. Your areas of responsibility include:
- Planning and hosting network meetings: You are responsible for coordinating, agenda setting, hosting and follow-up on network meetings with parents, external partners (PPR, social workers, etc.) and internal staff.
- Management of resource pathways: You maintain an overview of ongoing initiatives, observe at student- and class-level, evaluate pathways and ensure follow-up on action plans and that subsequent actions are coordinated with the agreed strategies.
- Sparring leadership between class teams and inclusion: You function as the close mentor and sparring partner for teachers and pedagogues in class teams, so inclusion measures are rolled out successfully in the classrooms. You participate in class conferences and in the school’s absenteeism team.
- Focus on students with special challenges: You have a sharp eye for students who need extra support, and ensure that their voice and needs are heard and accommodated in the pedagogical efforts. You support transitions between the school’s intermediate form and the classes, and you participate in the extended school–home collaboration.
We imagine you
- Have a relevant pedagogical or educational background (e.g. teacher or pedagogue) – preferably complemented by relevant continuing education or experience in inclusion or special pedagogy.
- Have solid experience in coordinating and facilitating meetings where many different stakeholders must be heard.
- Are strong in your oral and written communication and can navigate professionally in difficult conversations.
- Meet colleagues, parents and students with empathy, recognition and a solution-oriented approach.
- Work in a structured way, keep calm in complex situations and can juggle many balls.
We offer
- An exciting and challenging position with great influence on the framework for the school’s inclusion work.
- Close collaboration with school management, the resource team and skilled pedagogical staff.
- A workplace with room to grow, where there is room for new ideas and initiatives.
- An engaged collegial community that pulls together.
