At Plejehjemmet Ceres Huset, the social- and health care assistant is a key person in daily life – both when it comes to professional quality and the intimate interaction with the residents.

We are looking for a trained social- and health care assistant for a permanent position of 30 hours per week, primarily in the evening shifts. You should expect weekend work every 2nd weekend.

As a social- and health care assistant you will play a leading role in daily life on your two fixed floors, where you together with your colleagues perform the day- and evening care tasks and activities.

You naturally bring your assistant competencies into play through early detection, assessment, treatment, medication management and through skills development of social- and health care helpers and substitutes.

We also see that you engage in close social interaction and in the small everyday activities for and with the residents; You have an eye for possibly helping Bente with table setting and napkin folding, so she experiences meaningful employment. Perhaps you have noticed that Hans on the 4th floor seems lonely and could benefit from a chat and a cup of coffee in his apartment.

Together with the residents, their relatives and volunteers, we create a HOME where good living and well-being are in focus, and we strive to ensure a meaningful daily life, where the focus is directed at each individual resident. About Plejehjemmet Ceres Huset

Plejehjemmet Ceres Huset is part of the Department of Health and Care in the district of Midt/Øst, and the nursing home is centrally located at Ceres Allé 15 in the city center. We are a modern house from 2011 with 72 well-appointed care apartments, where welfare technology and rehabilitation are a natural part of everyday life.

Our dedicated staff group consists of 69 engaged employees who are passionate about providing good care and making a difference.

We prioritize professional development and quality work through triage meetings, citizen conferences and professional workshops. With us we share knowledge, good ideas – and speak openly about what challenges us.

Ceres Huset is one of Aarhus Municipality’s freed-up care homes, where we work purposefully to reduce documentation and registrations so that we can free up more time for the residents. Together we develop solutions that create job satisfaction, well-being and professional uplift.

The nursing home has two deputy directors: Signe responsible for the clinical and professional part, and Lisbeth who handles the administrative part including duty scheduling. Peter is the principal of the entire house. We are close to daily life and easy to reach.

Please note that the position falls within the 24/7 area. At present, service is expected to be mainly in the evening shift.

Salary and employment terms

The position is desired to commence 01.01.2027 or as soon as possible.

Salary and employment terms are according to the applicable collective agreement. Final salary determination takes place after negotiations with the legally entitled trade union based on qualifications.
