Social pedagogue sought for Psychiatric 24-hour Unit 06/07

Regardless of whether you are a recent graduate or experienced, the most important for us is that you want to make a real difference for people with severe mental illness. If you can nod in recognition of this - then we may have a permanent position for you. The position is initially 37 hours per week, with the possibility of two-shift, primarily day/night or evening/night. Weekend on-call every 3rd weekend in 12-hour shifts or every 2nd weekend in 8-hour shifts. If you prefer three-shift rotation, this can be arranged. The hourly count can be adjusted to your wishes.

About the ward

Psychosis Ward 06/07 is an integrated inpatient ward with capacity for 30 patients. We primarily receive patients with psychosis, but we also treat patients with other psychiatric issues. One of our safeguarded beds has been converted to an intensive psychiatric bed as part of the effort for broader treatment of the most ill.

Psychiatric Department Vejle consists of the following wards

• Ward 09 – Psychiatric Acute Reception (PAM)
• Ward 06/07 – Psychosis Ward (30 beds)
• Ward 05 – Dual-diagnosis Ward (15 beds)
• Ward 04 – Geriatric Psychiatry (16 beds)
• Ward 02/03 – Affective Ward (2x15 beds)

Your primary tasks

As part of our multidisciplinary team you will contribute with various pedagogical aspects to patient care including:

• Conduct environmental therapeutic activities that create a safe and supportive environment for our patients.
• Hold supportive conversations and actively involve the patient in their own treatment.
• Active collaboration with patients and relatives.
• Interdisciplinary collaboration where we address psychiatric, social and somatic issues in a holistic approach

Employment terms

Salary and terms of employment for the position follow the Social Pedagogical staff at 24/7 institutions, etc. - collective agreement 32.38.1. The starting salary for the position can be found via the following link: See starting salary for positions in Region of Southern Denmark .

In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
