About the job
Are you ready to become part of a team where high professionalism, strong collegiality and freedom with responsibility go hand in hand?
It is not often that we open a position in Team KLS.
In fact, it happens so rarely that it almost becomes an event in itself. But after many years of faithful service, our colleague Bente has chosen to take early retirement and at the same time our colleague Janni - who has been with us since her internship in social work studies - has been headhunted, and therefore we are now seeking two new colleagues for our team.
We are looking for social workers or social educators for permanent positions of 37 hours per week.
The positions are to be filled on 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.
About us
We are anchored in the Children and Family Department in Job and Social.
We work under the heading A Sustainable Children and Family Area , where collaboration on the well-being and daily life for children and young people with special needs is a socially binding priority.
The Special Group is a house full of life. Here all ages are represented, the professional level is high, and we share a common passion for creating positive changes for children, young people and their families.
We are about 61 employees consisting of social workers, student assistants, interns, therapists, assistants, office trainees, heads of departments and our boss, Lars.
Team KLS works with disability-compensating services for children and young people with significant and lasting physical or mental disabilities or intrusive chronic or long-term illness aged 0-18 years.
The position differs substantially from a traditional authority position in a family group. The emphasis of the task lies in the disability-compensating area, where especially granting and follow-up on lost earning capacity constitutes a central part of the work area. The work involves extensive administrative case processing, professional assessments, decisions, follow-ups and documentation under the Children's Act.
At the same time you work closely with the municipality's family groups on involving children and young people, action plans in relation to school attendance follow-up and the overall effort around the family.
We are a team with high professionalism, great willingness to help and a strong sense of collegiality. We consult a lot with each other, share our knowledge and lift together when cases call for multiple perspectives. There is rarely a long distance to a good piece of advice, a helping hand or a colleague who just pops in to hear how it’s going.
At the same time, we are probably one of the teams in the house where we laugh the most. We take our work seriously, but rarely ourselves. That does not mean the tasks are easy. On the contrary. But we believe that humor, community and good collegiality make us better equipped to solve them.
Many of us have been here for a very long time. We are proud of that. When there finally is an opening in Team KLS, it is more often due to retirement or early retirement than high turnover. Bente is a good example, and now we hope to find the right colleagues to take over after Bente and Janni.
