About the job

Social workers and social mediators sought for the District Advisory Service in the Center for Children, Youth and Families

Are you passionate about working with children and young people in vulnerable positions as well as children and young people with disabilities and their families? Then it might be you we are looking for.

Center for Children, Youth and Families

In the Center for Children, Youth and Families we have the authority for the municipality's interventions for children and young people aged 0-18 (23) years in need of special support under the Child Act and the Social Services Act. We work in both the social and the special needs area. The center consists of Reception, 24-hour guidance, Special Guidance, and the District Advisory Service.

Relational welfare is our common professional foundation. This means that we meet children, young people and families with a holistic and resource-focused perspective and start from their wishes, dreams and hopes for change.

We work in locally anchored multidisciplinary teams. In the team you will deal with case files spanning all types of cases within both early preventive, supportive interventions and the compensatory services. In all teams there will be staff with special competencies within, children, young people, compensable services, family treatment and special pedagogy, so that there can be sparring among colleagues.

We are now looking for colleagues in the District Advisory Service . There are both permanent positions and maternity cover roles . The positions are 37 hours per week with start 01.12.26. The colleagues we are looking for should have knowledge of or interest in either:

  • Specialist area, particularly the compensatory area: With your knowledge and interest in the compensatory area, you will play a central role in the team as a resource person, especially in relation to applications, decisions and follow-ups on the compensatory area.
  • Social area: With your knowledge and interest within the social area you will play a central role in the team in the work with children in vulnerable positions, including close collaboration with the family, the network and the child/young person’s school, club, institution etc. This applies to both children and young people. In the youth area, you will play a central role in the team regarding work with the young people, including e.g. UKN cases, collaboration with UU, recommendations, decisions and follow-up regarding youth support as well as ensuring a smooth transition to adult life.

Please in your application specify clearly which of the two areas you see your competencies best used for. And whether you are applying for a permanent position or a maternity leave position.

With us you will have a varied and exciting job, where you get the opportunity to put your own competencies into play and develop professionally. You will be warmly welcomed through an induction program that ensures your knowledge of the legislation, the organization and our practice, and you will receive close managerial sparring during your onboarding period.

In daily work you will become part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of wonderful and capable colleagues, and you will have access to both supervision and weekly team meetings with case sparring together with leaders and colleagues. At the same time we offer a flexible everyday life, where you have great freedom to plan your task solution with the possibility of remote work. We are an workplace that prioritizes a good working environment for all.

A job in the Center for Children, Youth and Families is varied; you will among other things:

  • Continuously involve children, young people, parents and networks.
  • Handle notifications.
  • Prepare screenings, assessments and child- and youth-focused investigations.
  • Participate in network meetings.
  • Provide advice and guidance to children, young people and their families.

  • Make decisions regarding handicap compensating services.
  • Follow up on and continuously adjust interventions and authorizations.

To succeed best in the task, we imagine that you

  • Have an education as a social worker or social mediator
  • Have interest and preferably experience in working with authority work
  • Are able to structure and balance your time between contact with children, young people and their families, and the legally required documentation and administrative tasks.

  • Enjoy (multidisciplinary) collaboration and like working closely with your colleagues and contribute actively to both the professional and social community
  • Open, listening and flexible in task solving
