About the job
Would you like to be part of the team in an agency section that prioritizes professional development, collaboration and a good working environment?
Do you have authority experience within the specialized social field and a desire to be a advisor in a dynamic and ambitious agency section?
Then we have the position for you in our Social, Psychiatry and Substance Misuse Team.
About the job
The social workers in the agency section primarily work with advice, referrals and follow-up within the provisions of the Social Services Act for adults with reduced mental/physical functioning and/or social problems.
The target group in the Social, Psychiatry and Substance Misuse Team is citizens with mental illness, addiction and/or homelessness and/or social vulnerability, who primarily require interventions under the Social Services Act §§ 85, 103, 104, 107 and 108. We are looking for people with experience in the field.
We solve the tasks in close collaboration and dialogue between the agency and the practitioner, with a strong focus on collaboration with the citizens. The cross-cutting perspective in task solving is valued within the Social Department and across departments in Silkeborg Municipality.
We work with
- close dialogue with citizens, networks and practitioners, to create individual and flexible solutions
- The citizen at the Helm, recovery-oriented and rehabilitative approach and therefore a focus on each citizen's resources, hope and dreams, and high emphasis on collaboration with citizens in assessments, planning of interventions and follow-ups
- a focus on employment/education and close collaboration with the job centre.
- a systematic and holistic social work approach
- starting point in the adult assessment method and with IT support in Nexus
We are looking for a new colleague who
- is a trained social worker, possibly a social mediator.
- has relevant social work experience, preferably with experience in the agency sector
- is curious and attentive to others' perspectives, and able to reflect on their own
- is effective, systematic, structured and can handle busyness constructively
- is mentally robust and can manage conflict-filled situations
- is interested in working in an organization that develops and changes in step with society and trends within the social field
- has a driving licence.
A typical day with us
A typical day begins with an overview of the day's cases and planning of tasks. You work with case handling, where you apply your social work knowledge and preferably the Adult Assessment Method (VUM 2.0) to uncover the citizen's situation and needs. You have ongoing conversations with citizens, where you meet them in an affirming manner with a focus on their resources, hope and dreams. You document your work in writing and convey your assessments clearly and precisely. The day can be busy, but you work in a structured way and maintain an overview.
There will also be situations that require resilience and the ability to handle conflicts constructively. At the same time you actively contribute to the development of agency work, where you are curious about new perspectives and solutions. You are part of an organization in development, where engagement, collaboration and a positive attitude are important elements of the work.
Coaching with colleagues and external supervision are seen as important tools in professional development.
There is an informal tone, room for humor and high ceilings in everyday life, while offering flex time as well as coffee and fruit arrangements. We work with “fly-in” seats in an open-plan office and also provide the possibility of homeworking.
