About the job

Are you our new colleague in the Family Counseling service?

We are seeking a new colleague for one of our district teams in a permanent position!

Would you like to work in the area of children and youth?

Would you like to work as a social worker in an organization that is always moving forward?

Would you like to work with a focus on involving both children, parents and networks?

Then the Family Counseling in Mariagerfjord Municipality might be something for you. We have the statutory authority for

Mariagerfjord Municipality's efforts for vulnerable children and youth.

We are currently 31 social workers organized in 3 district teams, a youth team, and the special counseling for children and

youth.

The aim is to ensure vulnerable families the best possible support based on the child’s or the young person’s

needs, and with consideration of the family’s total resources and possibilities. We work actively and

involving with the child’s and family’s network based on solution-focused approaches and

recognition-based relationships. We have ICS as the main tool in the analytical part of our practice and use

Signs of Safety in meetings. We work in DUBU and have the opportunity to offer a basic training.

There are high demands on creativity and the ability to find solutions to often difficult and complex

issues. We have a wide range of interventions to refer to. One of the things we value highly

is a constructive, solution-focused and forward-looking collaboration with families, the network and our

partners.

You must be prepared to be an active and co-creating part of developing and implementing workflows and

methods, and to focus on high professional quality in the work. We are currently particularly focused on the implementation of

the Children's Act, and the work with increased involvement of children and young people.

Social worker in district teams

In district teams you will work with children aged approximately 0-13 years and their families. The work includes for example

handling notifications, scoping, preparing child welfare investigations and initiating

supportive interventions. As a social worker in a district team you will work with preventive interventions, but

also with placements. The workday can be unpredictable, and you must therefore be able to thrive in a

daily life where your plans can change during the day. You must be curious about the families’

varied problems, and together with the family find the best solution. You must be investigative, have good questioning techniques and dare to have the difficult conversation.

We expect that you professionally

  • Value interdisciplinary collaboration highly and prioritize it in your daily work
  • Are action-oriented and well-phrased in both speech and writing

  • Are keen to contribute to the social community
  • Have MIT-ID (it is a requirement to log in to our IT systems with two-factor authentication)
