3F Guldborgsund is seeking a committed social worker for a 12-hour per week position, who is also politically minded in the trade union and has the members' interests at the focus.

The labor market is more complicated than ever, and the demands on our members have only continued to rise. If working life suddenly takes a new turn, it is essential that members can turn to their union and be guided safely through a process that can be uncertain and often overwhelming for them.

As a social worker at 3F Guldborgsund, your tasks include advising and assisting our members during illness and maternity leave, eligibility for flexible work, pension, and guidance on general employment terms. You will have independent cases where it is you who negotiates and agrees solutions for the members.

We envision that you have extensive knowledge of social legislation and practice in job centres and municipalities, as well as familiarity with, or a willingness to pursue education in employment law. You are also a skilled communicator with a strong focus on empathy in dialogue, both with members and employers.

You will collaborate with the union's politically elected representatives and other staff as well as shop stewards, managers and members in the respective municipality, sometimes at a high tempo with many and sharp deadlines.

You can see the great importance of the trade union movement, both for the individual and for the community. You are a clear and results-oriented negotiator, and you are passionate about advocating for the members' cause.

We expect that you

• are a social worker (or have other relevant education)
• are familiar with social legislation
• are familiar with or interested in further education in employment law
• can act professionally in difficult emotional and employment-law situations, where the focus is as much on procedures and guidelines as on empathy for the member and following the case through to the end
• have knowledge of, and experience with, negotiation and collaboration with politically governed organizations
• have competencies in communication and dissemination

Salary and employment terms The employment is in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
