” Despite experience from two other municipalities, I have never experienced such well-planned onboarding. The thorough intro program gave me great professional and organizational insight and ensured a solid foundation for a strong collegial community.”

A little about us

In Special Advisory we specialise in working with children and young people with physical and/or mental functional impairments. We currently have 19 child and youth advisers, two professional coordinators, a section head and two students.

Our focus in the work is, in close collaboration with the family and other relevant actors, to ensure good and holistic interventions. We have a broad competency area, including disability compensatory services (lost earning capacity, compensation benefits, maintenance training, substitution/relief, personal and practical assistance, accompaniment and home training, etc.) as well as early preventive and supportive interventions for vulnerable children and young people. In addition, we work targeted to become a hundred-metre master in child involvement.

We have high ambitions and would like to continue developing our task solving, professional standards and working community, and we are proud of all we have already achieved together. In us you will find a strong professional community and colleagues with good humor and great social and professional commitment.

You will have regular case reviews and good opportunities for concrete sparring, both with experienced colleagues, the immediate professional leader and department lawyers, just as an administrative employee helps with first-time calculations regarding lost earning capacity.

We currently have a low caseload of about 20 cases, depending on case complexity and competencies. As a new employee you can naturally expect a significantly lower caseload during an onboarding period, aligned with your experience and competence level.

Special Advisory is part of the Family Department, which consists of four sections; Prevention 1, 2 and 3, and the Placement Team. We have an Intake Duty that, for example, handles all 24-hour assessments of reports. In addition, there is a Professional Center with our administrative staff, development consultant and two department lawyers. We are therefore well equipped for the generally increasing caseload in the department and our ambitions for continued professional development.

We are an organization that in recent years has undergone great development, with high professionalism, clear workflows, systematic and law-abiding processes, establishment of common methodology and culture, and not least the development of cross-disciplinary collaboration, which remains at the forefront. This also means that you will participate in exciting competency development activities, ensuring that you continue to develop your professional competences as a child and youth adviser.

A little about you

We are looking for new colleagues who are trained social workers. If you have experience with the disability compensatory provisions, it is a big plus. If you are a recent graduate and passionate about the field and professional development, it is also a big plus. It is advantageous if you know the ICS method, Signs of Safety (SOS) and the professional system DUBU, but otherwise you will of course receive the necessary onboarding.

It is essential that you want to take co-responsibility for a strong working community with high professionalism and good spirits at the forefront. You should be able to work inclusively and solution-oriented, and have a constructive approach to families and cross-professional collaboration.

It is also a necessary qualification that you are good at communicating concisely, precisely and user-friendly both in writing and verbally, can work in a structured and systematic way, and are good at maintaining overview and focus.

If you have special competences or areas of interest you would like to specialise in, e.g. home training or something else, it will also, by concrete agreement, be possible to tailor your tasks accordingly in connection with your employment.

Would you like to know more?

If you would like to know more, you are welcome to contact Section Head Karina Sørensen, phone 28 98 36 38 or Professional Coordinator Tanja Brøndum, phone 28 98 35 45.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment are negotiated according to the principles of New Salary. In addition to the pay grade placement, a child- and youth allowance of about 2,500 DKK per month is provided. Please note that criminal and child checks will be obtained prior to employment. Working hours are 37 hours per week with a flexitime arrangement.

Application deadline and interviews

The positions are intended to start on 1 December 2026 or earlier.

The application deadline is Sunday, October 25, and we expect to conduct interviews on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
