General Worker at Miljøcenter Bladknæk

Meldgaard has for many years sorted and handled waste, soil and recycling products. Today we have environmental centers/reception facilities in e.g. Kolding, Klintholm, Herning and bag sorting in Aalborg.

The departments have undergone a strong development with lots of new activities in an exciting industry.

The main activities at the sites are handling soil, garden/park waste, organic waste and other waste fractions that come to the different sites.

We have an informal tone of voice with mutual respect for each other and, based on the office in Kolding, close contact with all reception facilities as well as our head office in Aabenraa. We are a strong team with an ambition to have satisfied customers and deliver quality every time.

The job

We are looking for a skilled worker for our environmental center at Bladknæk. You will be engaged in driving machines, sorting, checking loads, operating our press as well as all ad hoc tasks. These tasks are done in collaboration with the supervisor, as well as a team of skilled colleagues.

The position is on 37 hours, and the working hours will be between 07:00 – 16:00

You will be part of a small team, where we are quick to make decisions and get the tasks done.

About you

You have an interest and good understanding of technology as well as machines and their function. Your hands are well-tuned, and you have experience with driving construction or agricultural machines. You love new challenges, are adaptable, want to learn new things and are a fighter by nature. You take ownership of your job and are passionate about making a difference.

It is also important that you

• Have a B driver's license
• Forklift license
• Knowledge of baling presses is an advantage
• Can work independently while also being a good team player
• Have a good sense of humor
• Are flexible
