Do you thrive in a clinic where professionalism, collegial community and flexibility go hand in hand – and where you can focus on the patients and help develop new workflows that support a good working day?
Then the position as a specialist in Clinic for General Medicine Lemvig-Thyborøn might be something for you.
About the clinic
Clinic for General Medicine Lemvig-Thyborøn is a regional clinic which organizationally reports to Social Medicine and Rehabilitation, Regional Hospital Gødstrup. We therefore operate under Regional Hospital Gødstrup in contrast to the region's other regional clinics. The clinic is located in both Lemvig and Thyborøn and has around 5,800 affiliated patients in total.
You will become part of an experienced and dedicated medical team consisting of specialists in general medicine, supported by skilled nurses, secretaries, a practice manager and a chief physician. The clinic is also a training site for junior doctors. There is a strong culture of sparring, supervision, shared professional development and the clinic contributes to the development of the general medical offering.
We are facing a very exciting development process, where we together will further develop the clinic so that we are well equipped for both current and future tasks in the Danish health service. We work to strengthen our workflows, forms of collaboration and professional community, where you as a specialist will have the opportunity to become part of this development.
The position
We are seeking specialists in general medicine for full-time positions, but reduced hours (minimum 3 days) can also be possible and negotiated individually. Interest in multimorbidity and a broad general medical task portfolio is an advantage, as well as a desire to be able to focus on continuity and good relationships in patient pathways.
There is an opportunity for flexible work scheduling, and the region offers, among other things, transport by taxi between Gødstrup and Lemvig.
Your tasks
As a specialist in the clinic you will perform general medical work in the same way as in other general medical clinics, among others:
- Manage acute and planned consultations – in person, by phone and via video.
- Be responsible for your own patient pathways and chronic follow-up.
- Work with a diverse and often complex patient population with multimorbidity.
- Perform minor surgical procedures and preventive consultations.
- Collaborate with hospitals, municipalities and other partners.
- Contribute to supervision of junior doctors and the clinic's other staff.
- Participate in professional development and teaching.
- Contribute to clinical development projects and the development of the clinic.
We offer
- A permanent position in a regional clinic that reports to Regional Hospital Gødstrup.
- Focus on general medical work.
- A strong professional and collegial community with room for humor, respect and fellowship.
- Flexibility in working hours and organization.
- Opportunity to work with ultrasound scanning.
- Good opportunities for competence development, teaching and courses (There is an opportunity for 10 days of courses per year, some of which may take place as focused stays at other hospital departments – to create connection to them).
- Opportunity to participate in development and research activities.
- An work environment with high well-being and a “we pull together” mentality.
The clinic's IT platform is XMO.
We are looking for you, who
- Is a specialist in general medicine.
- Thrive in the broad field of general medicine.
- Have good collaboration and communication skills.
