Specialist physician for the Center for Functional Disorders

We are seeking a specialist doctor for our team at the Center for Functional Disorders, Vejle Hospital.

The Center for Functional Disorders has regional responsibility for the Region of Southern Denmark and provides outpatient treatment for adults with moderate to severe functional disorders.

We are a small team consisting of doctors, a nurse, physiotherapists, a social worker, a psychologist and a secretary. In addition to the fixed team, we have two psychologists attached as consultants here, including as part of external supervision. We have a close and productive multidisciplinary collaboration where professionalism, supervision, collaboration, job satisfaction and, not least, good humor are prioritized.

We are seeking a specialist doctor who will help raise and further develop our treatment offering. We offer a thorough introduction to the function in the form of supervised training and close collaboration.

All our patients are assigned a contact physician who follows them through their course. The treatment is planned individually and may include patient education, individual sessions with a physiotherapist, social worker and/or nurse, participation in caregiver events, and, not least, psychotherapeutic treatment in group and/or individual formats.

In addition to clinical work, we have several teaching activities both internally and externally. We participate in national and international congresses, network meetings, and advising professionals, administrators and the political system.

We are looking for an engaged doctor who would like to work with functional disorders. Ideally you should have knowledge of functional disorders and have an interest in further education and professional development in the area. You are a specialist in general medicine, internal medicine or psychiatry, but this is not decisive if the field interests you. You will conduct individual interviews as the primary contact physician and participate in professional sparring with the other professional groups. The position is full-time.

The Center for Functional Disorders was established in 2021 and is organized under the Medical Department, Vejle Hospital, which also houses the specialties of pulmonology, gastroenterology, rheumatology and hematology. In the Medical Department we strive to give the patient the best possible course and draw on each other’s expertise and competencies. We are in rapid development and everyday life often brings new tasks. We have very high patient satisfaction and we experience great and positive interest from our partners.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms for the position follow the subordinate physicians – collective agreement 33.06.1. The starting salary for the position can be found via the following link: See starting salary for positions in the Region of Southern Denmark .

In addition to the starting salary, the pay may include negotiated allowances depending on the position, your experience and qualifications.
