About the job
Do you want to help develop and manage the digital foundation under DTU's study administration?
At DTU we are in the process of further developing the way we work with system management, digital support and the coherence between processes, data and systems in the education area. Therefore we are seeking an STADS-responsible who can ensure professional management of the university's study administrative core system and at the same time contribute to creating coherence across the overall study administrative system landscape.
STADS is the university's central study administrative system and supports the entire student journey from application and admission to examination and graduation. At the same time the system forms part of an extensive system landscape with many integrations and dependencies on specialized solutions.
We are looking for a person who thrives in the intersection between operations, coordination and development, and who is motivated by creating structure and coherence in complex organizational and system landscapes.
Becoming part of Learning Technology & Analytics
You will become part of the Office of Learning Technology & Analytics, where we work with digitalisation, system management, data and analysis to support DTU's education area. We are one of five offices in the Department of Education and Students (AUS).
We are strengthening our approach to system management and creating a more cohesive overview of how processes, systems, data and the organization interact. Here you will become a central actor.
A role with responsibility for both operations and development
As the STADS-responsible you will have the day-to-day responsibility for the operational management of STADS.
You will help ensure that the system functions stably and supports the business needs, while changes and development initiatives are handled in a structured and coordinated manner.
The role is not about being the local super user or the first line of support. Instead you will be a key person in the work to ensure that STADS continues to be operated and managed as a robust and well-functioning foundation for DTU's education administration.
You will also have the opportunity to help develop the framework for future system management in the education area, where we increasingly want to work with holistic approaches rather than single systems.
Your main tasks will be to
- take care of the day-to-day management of STADS as DTU's study administrative core system
- ensure coherence between operations, maintenance, changes and development
- coordinate releases, upgrades and changes in collaboration with suppliers, IT and the business
- support handling, prioritisation and follow-up on major errors, incidents and operational issues
- create an overview of the system's integrations, dependencies and data relationships
- facilitate collaboration between process owners, superusers, IT, suppliers and other stakeholders
- contribute to governance, prioritisation and decision-making processes regarding STADS
- ensure documentation, transparency and structure in the management work
- contribute to the development of a more capability-oriented approach to system management in the education area
- contribute to the long-term development of DTU's overall study administrative system landscape
Who are you?
- You are curious, analytical and good at creating an overview.
- You thrive with responsibility and are motivated by getting operations, people and processes to work together. At the same time you see opportunities for development and want to contribute to the change we are undergoing.
- You do not need to come with the finished model. We are looking for a colleague who wants to help build it.
We imagine that you
- understand the interplay between processes, data and systems
- have experience coordinating across organisational units
- are good at building relations and collaborating across disciplines
- work in a structured and systematic way
- can navigate safely between business needs and technical possibilities
- have experience with system management, digital development or similar
- communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
It will be a plus if you have experience with educational administrative systems, or work with governance and digitalisation in a public organisation.
What do we offer you?
With us you get the opportunity to take on a central role in an area of great importance to DTU's education.
You will become part of a professionally strong environment with dedicated colleagues and have the opportunity to make your mark on both the daily management of a critical core system and the further development of the university's study administrative system landscape.
We are moving towards a more mature and coherent approach to system management and digital support. It is not a finished destination, but a development that you will have the opportunity to actively shape from day one.
Salary and terms of employment
Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the Danish State collective agreement for academics. You will be employed as a junior economist or policy advisor. Or in accordance with the OAO-S collective agreement and the organisational agreement for office functionaries, lab assistants and IT workers (HK/State).
In addition, supplements can be negotiated according to DTU's pay structure for AC TAP and HK Office: www.inside.dtu.dk/human-resources/under-ansaettelsen/loen/loenstrukturer .
This is a permanent position at 37 hours per week.
