Electrical Power Engineer for a Consulting Engineering Firm

At Ingeniørfirmaet J&P A/S in Holbæk we are looking for a power systems engineer who will work with planning, technical calculations and electrical technical solutions in an advisory role. You will become part of projects across housing, commercial and industry, and you will have space to apply your expertise from day one.

About J&P

We are a family-owned consulting engineering firm based in Holbæk. Since 1999 we have provided consulting, and today we are 45 employees. We are large enough to handle complex projects, but still small enough for us to know each other.

At J&P you will become part of a professional community where we work closely across disciplines, from structures and fire to sustainability, environment, electricity and HVAC. This means you won't sit alone with your solutions, but always have colleagues to brainstorm with.

We work with both smaller tasks for private clients and complex projects within apartment buildings, commercial and industrial sectors. A common factor for them all is that we take responsibility for the entire process, from the first ideas to the final solution.

About the position

As a power systems engineer you will follow the projects closely, from calculation and design to coordination with customers and partners. You contribute to ensuring that the solutions work in practice and comply with applicable requirements.

You will become part of a team of seven colleagues in our installation department, where we work with plumbing, cooling, electricity, ventilation and indoor climate.

Your tasks will include, among others

• Design and dimensioning of power installations
• Design of supply systems and other electrical technical solutions
• Technical calculations and documentation
• Quality assurance and optimization of the solutions
• Ensuring that applicable laws and standards are complied with
• Project meetings and cross-disciplinary coordination
• Dialogue with clients, contractors and other consultants through the project phases

Your profile

You are motivated by technical solutions and by creating well-functioning frameworks for those who use the buildings. You enjoy diving into details, you are good at collaboration, and you have a practical understanding of how the solutions should work in reality.

We expect that you

• Are educated as a power systems engineer or have an equivalent background
• Have knowledge of technical calculations and documentation
• Would preferably have experience with PC Schematic
• Work in a structured manner and maintain a focus on quality
• Thrive in cross-disciplinary collaboration
• Are curious and motivated for professional development

Practical information

• Full-time position with start on February 1, 2027 or earlier, if possible
• Workplace: Holbæk with easy access to the highway and good parking facilities
• The position requires physical presence at our office in Holbæk, as we prioritize close daily collaboration. It is therefore not possible to work from home.
