About the position The Office for Financial Management and Implementation is looking for one or more employees to work with some of the larger strategic agendas within government financial management.
In the Office for Financial Management and Implementation you will become part of a professionally strong environment with great variation in tasks. We work on developing the state's financial management and translating political and strategic ambitions into solutions that can be applied in practice across the state.
The office works very project-based, so your concrete tasks will depend on your competences and interests. We can say, however, that as an employee in the office you will both have responsibility for your own tasks and also participate in cross-cutting projects together with colleagues in the Danish Agency for Public Finance and Management, the Ministry of Finance and other ministerial areas as well as state institutions.
You will quickly gain a broad understanding of the state's governance challenges and have the opportunity to contribute to some of the most central agendas within economics, governance and digitalisation
Examples of important tasks in the office right now are
- development of the state's financial management and governance framework within among other things economy, salary and resource areas
- implementation of new common-state digital solutions and support of state organisations’ transition to the solutions
- advising ministries, agencies and institutions on financial management, implementation and change management
- development of better data foundations and management information to support governance and decision-making
- contribution to larger cross-cutting initiatives and reforms in the Ministry of Finance's area
- analysis and development tasks at the intersection of economy, governance, digitalisation and implementation
Tasks vary over time, and you will have the opportunity to shape your portfolio as you develop in the position.
About you We imagine that you have a relevant social science or economic education and have experience with, or a desire to develop, strong professional competences within financial management, analysis and implementation. We also hope that you can recognize yourself in some of the following points:
- are motivated by working with complex issues and translating analyses into concrete solutions
- are curious about others’ perspectives and interested in how solutions work in practice
- thrive in collaboration with many different stakeholders
- work in a structured way and take responsibility for your tasks
- want to contribute to a work environment characterized by professional sparring, feedback and helpfulness
It is not a requirement that you have experience with all task types. The most important thing is that you want to learn and develop.
About us You will become part of the Office for Financial Management and Implementation, which consists of 29 dedicated employees with various professional backgrounds. We work at the intersection of financial management, digitalisation, implementation and business development and have a central role in the development of the state's governance framework and common solutions.
Our tasks range from analyses and policy development to the implementation of larger cross-cutting initiatives in collaboration with ministries, agencies and institutions across the state. Therefore, we combine strategic problems with concrete implementation tasks close to users.
The office is characterized by high professionalism, great helpfulness and a strong social community. We prioritise sparring, knowledge sharing and feedback, and give employees the opportunity to quickly take responsibility and influence over their own tasks. At the same time, we work closely across disciplines because the best solutions are created in collaboration.
In the Agency for Finance we are about 460 employees who, as “the whole state's agency,” help our colleagues in state and self-governing organisations to create the greatest possible value with their core tasks. We work systematically and professionally with developing our own organisation, the management team and the employees. You can read more about us on our website, www.oes.dk .
With us, presence together with our colleagues matters a lot, and we believe that collaboration and knowledge sharing across the agency are crucial for a good working environment. At the same time we want to ensure flexibility for our employees, and home office can be arranged between manager and employee as long as it is compatible with task execution.
Employment terms You are hired under the collective agreement for academics in the state and will be placed as a legal adviser (fuldmægtig) or consultant based on your qualifications.
It is a condition of employment that you can be security cleared and subsequently maintain the security clearance throughout your employment. In connection with the employment, you will be asked to submit a private criminal record, which you can obtain via www.politi.dk , or by presenting yourself at your local police station. We will tell you more about this during the recruitment process.
The area of employment is the Ministry of Finance with related institutions, currently the Ministry of Finance's department, State Administration, State IT, the Financial Management Agency and the Employee and Competence Authority.
