About the job

Do you want to support people in vulnerable life situations to create a stable everyday life and a good life in their own housing? And can you combine presence in daily life with overview and coordination in complex citizen pathways?

Multihuset in Brøndby Municipality is seeking an employee for a combined position with tasks in Skæve Boliger on Brøndby Møllevej and in our ICM efforts.

The joint task is to support citizens in maintaining their housing, managing everyday life, and gaining access to the help and communities that give meaning for them. You will have both close contact with residents in Skæve Boliger and tasks as a contact person in individual ICM cases.

Two initiatives with a common professional direction

In Skæv Boliger you work closely with residents in their daily life. You must build trustful relationships and support the individual in, among other things, daily chores, contact to relevant services and conditions that matter for being able to stay housed. You also contribute to safety and good neighborly relations with respect for the fact that the housing is the residents’ own homes.

ICM – Intensive Case Management – is an intensive and flexible support for citizens who are homeless or at risk of homelessness and have complex support needs. Here you work as a contact person with both social and practical support and with creating cohesion between the citizen and the relevant cooperating partners.

The link between the two initiatives provides an opportunity to use your knowledge of citizens’ everyday life in the coordinating effort and vice versa. You must be able to switch between the concrete work with the citizen and the follow-up that makes agreements and interventions hang together.

Responsibilities are distributed in collaboration with management and colleagues with a view to continuity, citizens’ needs, and the professional frameworks for each initiative.

Your tasks

You should, among other things

  • Build and maintain contact with citizens who may find it difficult to receive support or use existing services
  • Support citizens in creating structure in everyday life, handling mail and finances, and maintaining their housing
  • Work with the citizen on their own goals, wishes, and possibilities for change
  • Support safety, neighborly relations, and handling of conflicts in Skæve Boliger
  • Coordinate and follow up on agreements with among others authorities, housing actors, psychiatry, substance abuse treatment, and health services
  • Support the citizen’s access to networks, activities, and meaningful communities
  • Document the intervention and systematically follow up on what works and where the support should be adjusted
  • Participate in professional sparring and joint assessments of complex cases

We are looking for you who

Have a relevant social- or health-related education, for example as a pedagogue, social worker, occupational therapist, nurse, or social- and health assistant.

We emphasize that you

  • Have experience with people in vulnerable life situations, ideally within social psychiatry, homelessness, or the substance abuse field
  • Work in a recovery-oriented manner and take the citizen’s perspective seriously
  • Can be persistent in contact and adapt the support when an agreement or approach does not work
  • Can stay calm in unpredictable situations and work to de-escalate conflicts
  • Work independently and at the same time actively use colleagues and management for sparring
  • Can create overview, coordinate across sectors, and follow agreements to the letter
  • Are clear about professional boundaries and contribute to safety in the work

Knowledge of Housing First and ICM is an advantage. The most important is that you have a solid professional foundation and a desire to work systematically with the method.

You will be part of Multihuset

Multihuset houses various social-psychiatric initiatives where we work with recovery and rehabilitation based on the citizens’ hopes, desires, and resources.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary work community where we develop quality through professional reflection, documentation, and cooperation. We emphasize that employees take responsibility for the shared task and seek help when a task requires multiple perspectives.

We offer a position with close citizen contact, independent responsibility, and the opportunity to contribute to the coherence between housing, support, and everyday life.
