About the job

Are you hands-on and ready to roll up your sleeves? Are you not afraid to get stuck in or dive into new challenges? Do you dream of being part of a creative community? Then you will be the right colleague for Scenekunstskolen's campus in Holstebro.

We are seeking a colleague with a desire to take on a wide range of practical and technical tasks related to the daily operation of the education. We need you to prepare teaching rooms for upcoming classes, keep the audio and lighting equipment and other technical gear in good order, and you will also be responsible for providing technical support (programming) for and supporting the execution of the programmes’ projects.

You will also be responsible for interior maintenance of the premises in collaboration with the technical staff at Holstebro Musikteater (where we will be located from 2027) and for keeping our house tidy. Additionally, there will be ongoing ad hoc tasks, which can range from bringing in catering to filming the students’ performances.

At Scenekunstskolens campus in Holstebro we educate dancers. You will become part of a lively and inspiring house that never stands still. As a stage technician assistant you will work closely with campus manager Tiziana Fracchiolla, the permanent teaching staff and administrative employees, and a lot of wonderful students.

Please note that much of our dialogue takes place in English, as the dance education has students and staff from all over the world.

Den Danske Scenekunstskole focuses on a good working environment. We expect you to contribute to the collegial community, and you should have good collaboration and communication skills and be able to operate in an artistic learning environment where employees across disciplines work together to solve tasks.

About you

You are proactive, work independently and in a structured way, and can handle a fast-paced workday. At the same time you are a team player who can fit in as a good colleague among the group of teachers and administrative staff who solve tasks in close dialogue with each other. You thrive in a workday that is never the same, and where tasks sometimes change when you arrive.

You are reliable and move naturally between keeping track of equipment and facilities and helping students, permanent staff and external teachers with technology, facilities, teaching rooms, etc. You would like to help with the staging of performances where lighting and sound are a major part of the process, including mounting, dismantling, and design of this.

Salary and employment terms

The position is part-time, 15 hours per week. Working hours are flexible but generally fall within the 08:00-16:00 window. In periods there may be evening and weekend work in connection with projects and similar tasks.
