About the job
How do nurses experience their working conditions? How does the number of nurses vary in relation to the population across municipalities? Which measures help organize newly graduated nurses into professional organizations?
As a student at the Danish Nurses Organization, you will have the opportunity to work with concrete societally relevant questions and translate data into knowledge that is actively used to shape and influence health policy agendas.
We are seeking a student with an interest in data, analysis and society. You might study, for example, economics, public health science or political science and want to bring your professional knowledge into play in an organization that works for nurses’ conditions.
You will become part of the Staff & Analysis, which supports the Danish Nurses Organization's political leadership and management. Our analyses contribute to political advocacy and the organization's work for and with its members.
Your work will mainly consist of processing survey data and producing analysis notes that make the results clear and usable. You will have the opportunity to prepare analyses and notes yourself in collaboration with the department’s consultants — and develop your ability to connect data, method and written communication.
Your tasks will include, among others
- Analyze member surveys on, for example, nurses’ working conditions and nurses’ experiences of the health care system
- Write notes that convey the analyses’ results and key conclusions.
- Set up questionnaires in Enalyzer and clean, quality assure and process the collected data.
- Process and present register data from, among others, krl.dk and the Health Data Bank.
- Contribute to visualization and reporting of member and organizational data, including in Power BI.
You will primarily have analysis-related tasks, but some practical tasks are also part of daily life.
We are looking for someone who both likes numbers and to articulate them to a broader audience, and we imagine that:
- You are in the process of pursuing a relevant higher education, e.g., in economics, public health science, political science or another social science field, and have at least two years left in your studies.
- Have a solid academic foundation and a desire to apply social science methods to concrete problems.
- Work confidently with numbers and are thorough in your data handling.
- Are interested in working with statistical programs such as R or SPSS.
- Can take responsibility for your tasks while also seeking sparring when needed.
- Are interested in the health care system, interest organizations and the role of trade unions in society.
Experience with survey tools such as Enalyzer or SurveyXact is an advantage, but not a requirement.
We offer
- You will join the Analysis team, which consists of two consultants and a student assistant. Analysis is part of a larger team (Staff & Analysis) consisting of 6 consultants and a team manager.
- The working hours are 17.5 hours per week. We organize your work hours flexibly and accommodate teaching, exams, etc.
- The Danish Nurses Organization has an office close to Kongens Nytorv, and we offer an attractive canteen arrangement.
- Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with an internal agreement with HK (Danish Confederation of Trade Unions).
Application deadline
Please submit your application and CV no later than 25 October 2026 via the link. The position is to be filled on 1 December 2026.
Interviews will take place on 27 October.
