About the job
Do you want to help shape the future of child and adolescent psychiatry? The Capital Region of Denmark is seeking a student assistant 15 hours per week to support the digitization of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
The child and adolescent psychiatry is in rapid development in these years. We must both provide the best treatment for those who need our help today and tomorrow, and we must adapt to future needs.
We are already working hard to deliver faster assessment and treatment to the many children and families waiting for help, but we want to strengthen our efforts even more by to a much greater extent integrating digital possibilities in all aspects of the work. You will help us with that.
You are ambitious and want to supplement your studies with work experience in a meaningful and politically relevant field.
About the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Center (BUC)
The Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Center (BUC) is Denmark’s largest child and adolescent psychiatry. We handle assessment and treatment of mental disorders in children and young people aged 0-17 across the Capital Region of Denmark. The level is high and the ambitions even higher.
A child and adolescent psychiatry in the sign of change and reform
The entire healthcare system is undergoing a major transformation with the recently adopted health structure reform. Here, the development of digital treatment options is an important tool to help even more children, youths and families – and to ensure that everyone has equal access to the necessary support and treatment.
Your task – digitization with impact
We are implementing a new digitization strategy that shall
- Ensure access to new tools and functionality for digital screening, monitoring and decision support to streamline assessment processes
- Strengthen patient satisfaction through flexible and holistic digital solutions for guidance and treatment
- Create a cultural change where digital perspectives are included in all strategic decisions
- Reduce time spent on documentation work using ambient scribe solutions
- Ensure access to relevant competence development in connection with increased use of AI in the clinic
- Create flow in patient pathways by addressing legal and technical barriers to arranging smooth processes
- Strengthen collaboration between research and the clinic so that high-quality digital solutions with documented effect can be scaled to the clinic faster.
You will play a central role in translating the strategy into practice – close to the clinic and with an eye for both technology and people. For us, digitization is not an end in itself, but one of several tools that should contribute to BUC offering better and faster help to families.
It is therefore essential to think of the task as a general transformation of the way we work.
The position is 15 hours per week distributed over two to three weekly workdays, and the work is planned with flexibility from both sides to make studies and work fit together.
The student assistant's primary task will be to support the program manager and the program coordinator with task execution.
We manage a portfolio of digital projects with a bundle of issues of legal, technical and practical character. Our new colleague must be proactive and versatile and can be deployed in varied tasks as needed.
Tasks will be arranged in dialogue and according to your competencies and interests and can for example involve:
- support clinicians in implementing new digital offerings such as online parent groups and collect experiences from pilot trials
- develop study designs to ensure patients’ voices in the development of the digitization program in collaboration with the youth mentoring unit
- prepare presentations for different stakeholder groups as well as decision proposals to management
- assess the status of the project portfolio including risk assessment
- establish collaborations with regional and external actors regarding competence development within the AI field
We are looking for
- Bachelor students in relevant education (e.g., Health Informatics, anthropology with a health technology focus, Cand.it, Cand.scient in Data Science or IT, Cand.merc.it, cand.scient.pol, cand.merc.pol)
- Interest in digital development in the health system
- Interest in organizational development and project management
- Interest in internal processes and workflows in a operations organization
- Good collaboration skills and desire for networking and leadership
We offer
Employment in BUC’s quality team consisting of 12 people with clinical and social science backgrounds, supporting the clinic with everything from patient and staff safety, data, work environment and general project management.
We have offices on the Glostrup campus at Nordstjernevej where there are also ambulatories and a 24/7 department. Here there is room to breathe, good mood, systematic professional sparring and ambitions to deliver quickly and with high quality.
