About the job

Show us what you can do. Not what you can write.

Can you create video content that makes people stop, click and take action?

The Communications and Marketing Department at UCL is looking for a student assistant who will produce content for our paid marketing and social media profiles.

We are looking for a creator who can both generate ideas, be in front of the camera and produce the finished content.

Your tasks

You will, among other things

  • Develop and produce video content for ads on Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat
  • Take part in videos as host, interviewer or presenter
  • Film, edit and adapt content for different audiences
  • Cover student life, education and events
  • Test new angles and formats for our marketing

We imagine that you

  • Are a student in higher education
  • Have experience creating content for social media
  • Are comfortable both in front of and behind the camera
  • Can film and edit video independently
  • Have an eye for what makes people stop, become curious and act

Experience with CapCut, Premiere Pro, Canva or similar is an advantage.

How to apply

You do not need to spend all your time on the classic application.

Instead, send us something that shows what you can do.

It could be

  • A short video
  • A portfolio
  • Links to examples of content you have produced
  • A creative presentation

It does not have to be perfect or polished. We want to see your idea and your style.

Show us

  • Who you are?
  • What you have done?
  • How you create content for social media?
  • Why you are the right fit for the job?

We evaluate you more on your ability to create content than on your ability to write applications.

How you are employed

You will be one of many other student assistants, in an ambitious department with high tempo and high spirits.

You will be hired on average 7 hours per week. The number of hours will vary.

You are hired in November 2026 or as agreed and are paid as a student assistant in accordance with the Joint Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organizations – The Government Sector (OAO joint agreement) and Organization Agreement for Office Clerks, Lab Technicians and IT Employees (HK) . The employment is contingent on you being an active student.

The workplace will primarily be Seebladsgade 1, 5000 Odense C
