About the job
Do you like making things happen, coordinating events and collaborating with many different people? Do you also have an eye for detail and a desire to work with the green transition closely with citizens, culture and business life? Then it might be you we're looking for.
The Climate and Sustainability Team is looking for a student assistant about 15 hours per week. We are four full-time staff and two student assistants who work broadly with the green transition in Frederiksberg. Our tasks range from developing strategies and policies to communications, events and activities with citizens and local actors.
You will be part of a small team with close collaboration and have the opportunity to take responsibility for your own tasks as well as work with colleagues and external partners.
Your tasks
A large part of your work will be tied to planning and executing Grønne Dage, Frederiksberg's green festival, which in 2027 will take place from 13 to 19 September. Here you will, together with a colleague, be involved in coordinating the festival and the many events created in collaboration with local actors.
You will, among other things, play an important role in contacting the actors and in ensuring that their events progress well from idea to finished event posting. This means that you will collect and quality-check information, clarify questions with the actors, and ensure that the events are created correctly on our platforms and continually updated on the website.
There may be many events in progress at the same time and a number of details that need to fall into place. Therefore the job is also for you who enjoy creating system from a lot of information, notice when something is missing and have the patience to follow up and get things all the way to completion.
You also will
- coordinate activities and events with local actors and volunteer green enthusiasts in Frederiksberg
- handle communications tasks, e.g., write texts for social media and the web and update our website
- assist with various practical and administrative tasks related to the team's projects and events
- contribute to other initiatives under the Climate Plan 2025, particularly the work of engaging citizens, associations, educational institutions, cultural actors and the business community in the green transition.
The work normally takes place during regular working hours, but in connection with events there will occasionally be work in the evenings or on weekends.
Who are you?
We do not expect you to know it all from the start. Instead we are looking for someone who is curious, takes responsibility and wants to learn.
We imagine that you
- are currently pursuing a relevant higher education in fields such as environment, climate, social science or communication and have a minimum of 1.5 years left of your studies
- are detail-oriented and thrive with tasks where there are many pieces of information, arrangements and deadlines to keep track of
- work in a structured way and follow your tasks through to completion, even when it requires a few extra clarifications
- are approachable and easily communicate with many different people
- can work independently, take initiative and at the same time ask for help when needed
- are interested in climate and the green transition
- are good at formulating in writing and can tailor the communication to different audiences
- preferably have a good visual sense and a desire to work with content for social media and the web.
What do we offer?
With us you get
- an opportunity to work concretely with the green transition in an ambitious climate municipality
- a student job with responsibility and the opportunity to put your own mark on the tasks
- experience with event coordination, communication, citizen involvement and collaboration with local actors
- a wide network of contacts to colleagues across the municipality and associations, cultural actors, companies and other partners on Frederiksberg
- a small team with high professionalism, good collaboration and room for curiosity and new ideas
- flexible working hours, where you can largely arrange your hours around your studies
