About the job
Are you linguistically sharp and want experience with social media? And would you like to work in one of Denmark's largest interest organizations with a finger on the pulse and a hand on the heart?
Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn are important channels in Ældre Sagen's communications and in the dialogue with our more than 1 million members.
As a SoMe student assistant, you will help us create content for and monitor the conversations on our social media. You are involved in planning, development, production, monitoring and statistics. In addition, you will also provide support to Ældre Sagen's volunteers in local branches and assist them in their work with their presence on social media, primarily Facebook.
This is what you will gain experience with
Your tasks will primarily be
- To help plan and produce content for Ældre Sagen's social media - including text, graphics, images and video.
- To be part of the team that handles the debate in the comment threads on our social media.
- To advertise our content on social media.
- To support volunteers in using Facebook as a communication channel through sparring, guides and knowledge sharing in our network for volunteer Facebook editors.
You will work closely with our SoMe team, other colleagues in the Communications Department and professionals in Ældre Sagen's secretariat.
Who are you?
We expect that you are pursuing a relevant education in communications, rhetoric or similar, and have a minimum of 1-1.5 years left of your studies.
You should have an interest and basic understanding of social media as well as a flair for writing and editing texts for social media.
We expect that you can work independently and in a structured way with your tasks. Since you also get a support function, it is important that you are patient and good at listening to and talking with different people.
We work in Meta's systems and Canva, and it is an advantage if you are familiar with them – otherwise we will train you. The most important thing is that you are curious and want to learn more about social media.
Who are we?
You will become part of the Communications Department at Ældre Sagen, where we have a relaxed atmosphere, meet each other with humor and curiosity, and where we value teamwork, sparring and collaboration.
You will have skilled colleagues with many different areas of expertise and work, who deliver products and results together. We are engaged in our work and proud of the cause we fight for.
Conditions
The weekly working time is 15 hours, but with mutual flexibility expected during peak periods and exam periods. We encourage all interested to apply regardless of age, gender and ethnic background.
The position is a student position with start date 4 January 2027. You will report to the deputy head of the Communications Department and become part of a department with about 26 colleagues.
The workplace is located at Ældre Sagen's head office on Snorresgade in Islands Brygge, Copenhagen.
