About the job

Are you a student on a long social science higher education program, do you want to work with analyses and evaluations of higher education, and do you find it exciting to contribute to tasks close to KP’s management? Then you can become our new student assistant in the Strategy and Quality team at Copenhagen University College of Professional Higher Education (KP).

At KP we educate future teachers and pedagogues, nurses and social workers as well as several other upcoming professional bachelor students. In the Management and Communications Secretariat we support KP’s management and student political organization. You will be affiliated with the secretariat’s Strategy and Quality team, where we conduct analyses and evaluations, coordinate the current reform of professional educations and drive strategic projects in collaboration with colleagues in the secretariat and the rest of the organization.

As a student assistant you will have the opportunity to work with analysis and evaluation tasks from data collection and analysis to dissemination of results. Your work will form part of the decision basis for management, executive board and external partners and contribute to the development of KP’s educations.

  • Collect and process data from registers, data warehouses and questionnaires for use in analyses and evaluations
  • Analyze both quantitative and qualitative data
  • Process interview material and contribute to qualitative analyses
  • Prepare figures, presentations and other dissemination products

The upcoming period we are working on the following studies, in which you will be involved:

  • Follow-up on a larger analysis of student dropout at KP, including analyses of patterns and risk factors related to dropout
  • Strategic analysis of our students' experiences of their internship, using both qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Ongoing analysis and evaluation tasks that support KP’s strategic work

We are looking for someone who

  • Is active in studies in a long social science education, e.g., political science, sociology, educational science, anthropology, public health science or similar, and has at least two years left of your studies
  • Has an interest in analysis and evaluation work and wants to translate method into practice
  • Has worked with both quantitative and qualitative methods through your studies
  • Wants to work with the entire analysis process from data collection to analysis and dissemination
  • Has a flair for data processing. Experience with Excel or similar tools is an advantage but not a requirement
  • Has experience with or a desire to work with questionnaires, preferably in SurveyXact
  • Can translate data and analyses into clear and accessible messages

In addition we value that you

  • Work thoroughly and systematically
  • Can work independently and take responsibility for your own tasks
  • Are curious and proactive and follow up with questions when something is unclear
  • Have good collaboration skills and thrive in working closely with others
  • Thrive in and can keep overview in changing tasks of different nature
  • Are interested in the education field and would like to contribute to solving the tasks

We offer

With us you can become part of a secretariat with many different professional backgrounds, high ceilings and a strong sense of community. You will be attached to a fixed contact person who helps balance the workload and ensures that you are introduced to the tasks and receive ongoing sparring. Professionally, you will among other things gain experience with analysis and evaluation work in practice with a focus on developing higher education.
