Student Assistant for Business Development

At CRH Denmark we are seeking an ambitious student assistant for our Business Development team. Here you will have the opportunity to work closely with management and be involved in projects that affect the company's strategic direction. You will contribute with analyses, decision briefs and presentations, while gaining insight into how a large company develops its business.

The role

As a student assistant you will be an important part of the Business Development team. We work on developing CRH Denmark's business across companies, markets and initiatives. You will gain broad exposure and have the opportunity to work with both strategic analyses and more operational tasks.

Primary tasks and responsibilities

• Prepare strategic analyses and decision bases
• Conduct market and competitor analyses
• Support business cases and evaluation of new business opportunities
• Analyze financial metrics and business performance
• Prepare presentations and materials for management and projects

You are curious about business and motivated by understanding the relationship between strategy, market and economy. At the same time, you thrive when things get done and are happy to take responsibility for your own tasks.

We expect that you

• Are pursuing a cand.merc.-level education or similar
• Have an interest in strategy, business development and business analysis
• Have a strong analytical approach and can translate data into insights
• Possess a good financial and economic understanding
• Thrive with both analytical tasks and the practical work that makes projects succeed

How will you succeed?

After the first months you will have built up a solid understanding of our business, markets and strategic priorities. You will actively contribute with analyses and presentations that help the team make better decisions.

In the longer term you will succeed when you become a natural sparring partner in the team, take ownership of your tasks and independently drive analyses and projects from idea to decision brief. You are characterized by high quality, curiosity and the ability to connect numbers, market understanding and business.

The team

You will become part of the Business Development team, which works closely with management on some of the company's most important strategic projects, development initiatives and growth agendas. We are a small, ambitious team with a large influence on the business and collaborate broadly across the organization. At the same time we have an informal and down-to-earth culture where we help each other and prioritize a good sense of community.
