About the job

Are you analytically strong, curious about the business and good at translating data into clear messages?

We are looking for an ambitious student assistant for Business Development in Claims Center. You will have the opportunity to build a strong understanding of the business and use it to prepare analyses and presentation material that support important decisions.

In this role you will gain practical experience with business analysis and decision support close to the management and have the opportunity to gradually take on more responsibility. You will learn to work from problem definition and data to analysis, insights, and finished decision materials, and you will also gain a solid understanding of how a large operational business is run and developed.

About the role

Your main task will be to translate business issues and data into insights and a basis for decisions.

Good analyses require an understanding of the business behind the numbers. Therefore, you will get to know Claims Center well – including our operations, processes, performance, and claims development.

You will among other things

  • Prepare analyses in Excel and identify trends, correlations and areas for improvement.
  • Build a strong business understanding and actively use it to identify new perspectives and analytical opportunities.
  • Translate data into clear conclusions and relevant business insights.
  • Prepare sharp and visually presentable material in PowerPoint.
  • Contribute to strategic and operational development initiatives across Claims Center.

The work hours amount to about 15 hours per week, spread over a couple of weekdays with flexibility around studies and exams.

We offer

While we set high demands on you as an employee, we also expect you to set demands on us as an employer. Here are some of the benefits you get from working at If:

  • An inclusive work environment where everyone is welcome
  • Career and development opportunities in the Nordic region's largest insurance company
  • Social activities as well as a professionally strong environment
  • Opportunity for hybrid working
  • A health-promoting workplace with e.g. a gym, various sports activities and a canteen
  • Attractive insurance benefits

About the team

You will be part of our Business Development team, and you will work closely with both Business Developers and managers across Claims Center.

Characteristic of the team is that it is a new and ambitious team with close collaboration, high professionalism and an informal culture where we help each other, spar across and share knowledge. We believe that the best results are created collectively, and therefore we place great emphasis on open dialogue, mutual support and room for both professional and personal development.

Who are you?

You are pursuing a relevant higher education in areas such as business, finance, strategy or similar, and you have at least 1.5 years left of your studies.

We do not expect you to already know the insurance industry. The most important is that you are proactive and curious by nature, want to understand the business behind the numbers, and are motivated to continually learn and develop.

We particularly emphasize that you

  • Have strong analytical skills and are good at Excel.
  • Are curious and motivated to build a strong business understanding.
  • Can see connections and translate data into insights and clear messages.
  • Are good at PowerPoint and can communicate complex issues simply and visually.
  • Work in a structured, independent manner with attention to detail.
  • Take initiative, ask questions and dare to challenge what you see.
  • Communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing.
  • Danish or another Nordic language is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Power BI or Tableau is an advantage but not a requirement.
