About the job

Gain practical experience with finance and accounting in a flexible student job, where you will have responsibility for your own tasks and become part of a helpful professional community. Erhvervsakademi København (EK) is seeking a student assistant who will help ensure an efficient and well-functioning invoice flow.

The job

A substantial part of the job is to handle the daily invoice flow and ensure that supplier invoices are posted correctly and sent to the right approver in the organization. You will receive a thorough introduction to the tasks and ongoing sparring, so you are well equipped to work independently.

You will become part of the finance department in a large educational organization with many skilled and experienced colleagues. In the team we help each other, share knowledge and collaborate across EK. The tasks primarily consist of fixed operational tasks, but you will also have the opportunity to contribute ideas for simpler and more efficient workflows.

The student job is approx. 10-15 hours per week. Working hours can be arranged flexibly with regard to your studies and the department's tasks. You will have responsibility for your own tasks, practical experience with invoice handling, posting, and financial processes, as well as the opportunity to contribute to the development of workflows.

Your main tasks are to

  • handle and post supplier invoices in the invoicing flow system Aqoola
  • distribute invoices to the appropriate approvers in the organization
  • follow up on invoices and ensure progress in the invoice flow
  • have dialogue with colleagues across the organization about invoices, posting and approvals
  • contribute to optimizing and streamlining workflows in the invoice flow

Your background and competencies

You are pursuing a higher education program in economics, finance or accounting. The most important is that you are curious about accounting and financial processes and eager to learn more about posting and invoice flow.

We value that you

  • work in a structured way and follow your tasks through to the end, because the invoice flow requires overview and timely follow-up
  • are meticulous and have an eye for detail, so invoices are posted and distributed correctly
  • communicate clearly and accommodatingly with colleagues across the organization
  • thrive with fixed operational tasks and at the same time see opportunities to make workflows simpler
  • can work independently, but also seek sparring and actively contribute to the team’s collaboration

Employment terms

Working hours: Approximately 10-15 hours per week.

Workplace: Prinsesse Charlottes Gade 38, 2200 København N.

Start date: As soon as possible.

You will be employed as a student assistant under the applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organizations - The Public Sector (OAO-S) as well as the collective agreement for office clerks, laboratory assistants and IT workers (HK).
