About the job

Gain practical experience in finance and accounting in a flexible student job where you take responsibility for your own tasks and become part of a supportive professional community. Erhvervsakademi København (EK) is seeking a student assistant who will help ensure an efficient and well-functioning invoicing flow.

The job

A substantial part of the job involves handling the daily invoicing flow and ensuring that supplier invoices are posted to the correct accounts and sent to the appropriate approver in the organization. You will receive a thorough introduction to the tasks and ongoing sparring, so you are well equipped to work independently.

You will become part of the finance department in a large educational organization with many skilled and experienced colleagues. In the team, we help each other, share knowledge and collaborate across EK. The tasks mainly consist of fixed operations, but you will also have the opportunity to contribute ideas for simpler and more efficient workflows.

The student job is approx. 10-15 hours per week. The working hours can be arranged flexibly with regard to your studies and the department's tasks. You will be responsible for your own tasks, gain practical experience with invoice handling, posting, and financial processes, and have the opportunity to contribute to the development of workflows.

Your main tasks are to

  • handle and post supplier invoices in the invoicing system Aqoola
  • distribute invoices to the correct approvers in the organization
  • follow up on invoices and ensure progress in the invoicing flow
  • have dialogue with colleagues across the organization about invoices, posting and approvals
  • contribute to optimizing and streamlining workflows in the invoicing flow

Your background and competences

You are pursuing a higher education in economics, finance or accounting. The most important is that you are curious about accounting and financial processes and eager to learn more about posting and invoice flow.

We emphasize that you

  • work in a structured way and follow your tasks through to the end, because the invoicing flow requires overview and timely follow-up
  • are thorough and have an eye for detail so invoices are posted and distributed correctly
  • communicate clearly and approachable with colleagues across the organization
  • thrive with fixed operational tasks and at the same time see opportunities to simplify workflows
  • can work independently but also seek sparring and actively contribute to the team’s collaboration

Terms of employment

Working hours: approx. 10-15 hours per week.

Workplace: Prinsesse Charlottes Gade 38, 2200 København N.

Start date: As soon as possible.

You will be employed as a student assistant under the applicable joint agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organizations - The Public Sector (OAO-S) as well as the collective agreement for office clerks, laboratory assistants and IT staff (HK).
