Queen Mary’s Center is an interdisciplinary and community-oriented center at the University of Copenhagen. We work to make humanistic and social science research a resource in solving societal problems. We build bridges between research environments and the actors who stand in the midst of society’s complex challenges – in the public sector, civil society and business. Behind the center lies the Faculty of Humanities, the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Theology and the Faculty of Law at the University of Copenhagen.

The center works strategically with four concrete problem areas toward 2030, and we are currently seeking a student to join projects across the problem area: Knowledge against violence. Under the problem area there is a wide range of projects that the student will support and work on.

This includes ongoing projects on, among other things, the development of tools for the justice system’s handling of cases of partner violence, a research project on technology-facilitated violence in intimate relationships, and an interdisciplinary research network on violence in intimate relationships. The center also has a number of new projects under development within the area of, among other things, consent culture, honor-related crime in intimate relationships and municipal emergency plans.

All projects share the focus on research into prevention, detection, treatment and prosecution of violence in intimate relationships.
