Supervisor for cleaning at Sankt Knuds Gymnasium in Odense

Renas Cleaning is seeking an engaged and responsible supervisor for our cleaning task at Sankt Knuds Gymnasium in Odense.

We are looking for a supervisor who can combine practical cleaning work with daily management, coordination and quality assurance. You will be the day-to-day lead at the site and will be responsible for a fixed team of 4-6 cleaning assistants.

The position is a permanent full-time role of 37 hours per week. Cleaning mainly takes place in the afternoon. In connection with events and other occasions, other working hours may apply.

Your responsibilities

Quality assurance and control

• Ensure that the agreed cleaning quality is delivered daily.
• Carry out daily quality checks in selected areas.
• Ensure that all rooms and areas are checked at least once a week.
• Initiate defect corrections and additional cleaning when necessary.

Management and task allocation

• Lead and allocate the daily work among the 4-6 cleaning assistants.
• Plan and reprioritize tasks according to the concrete needs at the gymnasium.
• Make decisions about flexible task solutions.
• Ensure that employees' tasks can be adapted when changes or special needs arise.
• Ensure efficient and flexible cleaning during the day.

Staff management

• Monitor employees' working hours and attendance.
• Call in temporary replacements and additional staff as needed.
• Ensure proper instruction of new employees and replacements.
• Follow up on employees' daily work and tasks.

Communication and reporting

• Receive daily reports from the cleaning assistants.
• Provide daily reporting to Renas Cleaning's service manager about daily operations, staffing, quality and any challenges.
• Inform Renas' service manager of needs for replacements, extra staff, remedial cleaning or additional cleaning.
• Maintain ongoing communication with the gymnasium's point of contact about daily cleaning and any wishes or changes.
• Provide a verbal update to the gymnasium's contact person once a week.

You will be both a leader and a part of the cleaning team

As a supervisor, you are expected to actively participate in the cleaning work at the site when needed. The practical cleaning is therefore also a natural part of the position.

It is important that you can keep an overview and perform your leadership and coordination tasks while participating in the daily cleaning.
