About the job
Would you like to be a nurse in our competent multidisciplinary team? We offer a permanent position from January 1, 2027 in Ward 2, Geriatric Diseases, AUH.
You will therefore have the opportunity to specialise in geriatrics, which calls for a wide range of nursing competencies tailored to the multimorbid, elderly patient. As a nurse in a ward in Geriatric Diseases, you will work with prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and relief of older patients with physical, mental, functional and social needs. Ward 2 is staffed for 16 beds, allocated between patients with hip fracture and patients with a medical geriatric profile.
You will have the opportunity to develop your instrumental, professional, relational and organizational nursing competencies. You will become an expert in prioritising your mono-disciplinary nursing tasks in a multidisciplinary context, so that the patient experiences holistic care and treatment. Your communication skills play an important role in collaboration with the patient and their relatives.
Likewise, coordination and information across sector boundaries is necessary so that we work in the same direction towards the patientur discharge. You will experience wards where we each contribute our competencies in a respectful work environment.
In Geriatric Diseases we work in multidisciplinary teams. The doctors are physically present in the ward and naturally form part of the team. Likewise, occupational and physiotherapists are employed in the ward and are present every day and in the evenings. In this way, a multidisciplinary geriatric approach is ensured for the older patient with a complex disease course. We get along well with each other at work and outside work when we meet for various events.
If you choose a position with us, you will become part of a work community where
- we place emphasis on a good development and learning environment
- we have an introduction and training program which includes, among other things, simulation training in acute nursing, a follow-up day with multidisciplinary partners aimed at understanding the multidisciplinary collaboration and follow-up conversations focusing on the individual professional development for the new employee
- we prioritise and work purposefully with research projects within geriatrics
- we are a project department within patient and relative involvement, including the use of tablets in the rooms as well as fall detection.
There are expected interviews on Thursday, November 19, 2026 and commencement is January 1, 2027 or as agreed.
Salary and employment terms in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. The employment is conditional on a satisfactory police certificate for children and a satisfactory authorization.
If you have questions about the position, would like to talk to an employee, or arrange a shadow day in the ward you can contact Chief Nurse Louise Riesgaard Momme at tel. 3092 2449 or at mail [email protected] .
We hope to hear from you.
The position is generally a full-time position.
