As one of our nurses is going to travel, we are seeking a nurse for our inpatient ward.

We offer a permanent position from December 1, 2026 or after agreement. The position is, as a rule, 37 hours per week, but the number of hours can be adjusted to your wishes.

We are seeking a nurse for the inpatient ward

You will become part of a well-functioning inpatient ward where mood is high and professionalism is in focus. The ward is divided into two teams, where nurses have assigned patient care in single rooms.

In Cardiology we collaborate across disciplines through board meetings and time-outs. Every day there is a "5 professional minutes" with the day's/week's/month's focus. There is, among other things, established weekly multidisciplinary teaching, and simulation training is held.

The department's staff have the opportunity to work across. Here with the possibility to work with both inpatients (acute) and outpatients.

Working hours and work schedule

• We work with HosInfo. A wish plan with the possibility to influence your own duty roster based on a common staff handbook.
• There will be a focus on balance in the individual life phase.

Introduction and competence development

• The department works purposefully with onboarding individually tailored to your introduction program.
• If you are a new graduate, you will not be part of the norm in the first 2 months.
• If you have experience, you will not be part of the norm in the first 4 weeks.
• After 9 months of employment there is the possibility of the regional cardiology education at diploma level.
• After training there will be opportunities for shifts in Cardio-FAM.
• Depending on experience there is also a possibility for outpatient days in specially designed functions.

We are seeking a nurse who

• Has experience from the cardiology specialty.
• Has a humane approach and puts the patient and relatives first.
• Can work in a structured and independent way, but is also prepared to receive and give supervision and guidance.
• Enjoys being part of a daily life with changes and reorganizations.
• Takes initiative and has a positive and open approach to developing cardiology patient pathways and the nursing profession.
• Can handle a variable daily life with high patient flow, short diagnostic processes and longer outpatient pathways.
• Has a go-getter attitude, good humor, and willingness to engage in cross-disciplinary team collaboration.

Who are Cardiology

Cardiology consists of an inpatient ward with 22 beds and an outpatient clinic with extensive outpatient activity including specialist doctor and nursing consultations, as well as a cardiology outpatient clinic with invasive procedures (pacemaker implantation).

We provide diagnosis, observation and treatment of all types of cardiology patients. The focus area is patient/relative involvement, the cohesive patient pathway and the team spirit.

Patients in the inpatient ward are admitted from FAM (Fælles Akut Modtagelsen), transferred from OUH, or received directly from the department's outpatient clinic.

In connection with complex discharges and patients with open admission, we work with palliative and discharge coordinators (PUK) who arrange a good and individual transition home/between sectors.

We also have an outpatient clinic in Sønderborg and a smaller outpatient activity at Tønder Hospital.

Salary and employment conditions

The remuneration is done in accordance with the collective agreement between the Region’s Tariff Board and the Health Cartel and is covered by the local wage formation agreement.
