Psychiatric Joint Acute Reception (FAM) in Aabenraa seeks a nurse for a permanent position of 37 hours per week or as agreed with the start date of December 1, 2026.

About Psychiatric Joint Acute Reception Psychiatric Joint Acute Reception is open 24/7 and receives adult patients from 18 years of age, both with and without referral.

We receive annually about 2,500 patients , who either

• Are admitted
• Are referred for further treatment
• Are discharged to their GP

The department is attached to 3 observation beds .

Mobile Psychiatric Emergency Department The mobile emergency department is an outreach function with both subacute and planned tasks.

Open every day of the week from 13:00 to 21:00

Acute Psychiatric Emergency Response Service The Acute Psychiatric Emergency Response Service responds to acute inquiries from police, on-call doctors and residential facilities.

The work includes among other things

• Crisis management
• De-escalation
• Consultation for partners
• Cross-sector collaboration

Open every day of the week from 13:00 to 21:00

Children and Youth On weekdays, psychiatric patients aged 8-17 are triaged before assessment by the Children’s and Youth Duty Doctor.

Weekdays 08:00-18:00

About the Psychiatric Department Aabenraa The Psychiatric Department Aabenraa consists of

• Psychiatric Emergency Department with 24-hour reception
• 95 beds distributed across:
• Geriatric psychiatric ward
• 5 general psychiatric wards
• Outpatient units in Haderslev, Sønderborg, Tønder and Aabenraa
• Geriatric Ambulatory
• Oligophrenia team
• Dementia Clinic

We work purposefully to prevent coercion and create safe treatment pathways including

• Safewards
• Trauma-informed approach
• Initiatives targeted at self-harming behavior
• Social nurses focusing on socially vulnerable patients

Employment terms Workplace: Aabenraa

Start date: 1 December 2026

⏰ 37 hours per week or as agreed

Mixed shifts

Weekend rota

• Every 3rd weekend with 8-hour shifts or
• Every 4th weekend with 12-hour shifts

Salary and employment terms follow the applicable collective agreement between the Danish Nurses Organization and the Regions’ Salary and Tariff Board.
