A Team Leader in the forwarding industry is the job for you if you want to combine your experience in freight and transport with leadership, operational responsibility and development. You will be responsible for the operations for a customer in Birkerød and become the unifying person for a dedicated team. Here you must both ensure that everyday transports run smoothly and that the team continuously develops more efficient and practical solutions.

The company converts waste and residue from both public and private companies into new raw materials. The team consists of dedicated employees who send different types of waste for safe handling, recycling or conversion into energy across borders and industries. The transports include both routine routes and new startup routes, where there is a need for close coordination, structure and drive.

You therefore enter a role where forwarding makes a concrete difference. Daily transport must align with the customer's needs, the company’s finances, and the requirements for handling the materials. It requires a strong operational overview and the ability to collaborate across the organization.

Your roles and tasks

As a team leader you work closely with Sales, Finance, Legal and Compliance. You also have close collaboration with your own team and with your fellow team leaders. Your task is to create direction, follow up and ensure that both the practical and administrative parts of the operations are properly handled.

·                Work on optimizing the supply chain.

·                Ensure that we comply with OSO requirements.

·                Ensure that invoices are issued and paid.

·                Be the overall contribution-responsible and follow the department’s financial development.

·                Ensure that the logistics solutions are practical, and that the coordination works.

·                Procure transports for existing and new routes.

·                Solve problems and create progress when plans or prerequisites change.

In practice, it means that you must be able to handle both the ongoing operations and look ahead. You follow up on agreements, assess transportation needs and help the team prioritize. When a new route must be started, or an existing solution adjusted, you gather the relevant parties and ensure a solution that can be implemented in practice.
