Tenor singer wanted for Søllerød Church

An opening for a tenor is available at Søllerød Church for appointment from 1 December 2026. Søllerød Church is a atmospheric medieval church, beautifully situated in the Rudersdal Deanery in the vicinity of Holte town centre. Søllerød Parish's Cantorei consists of four singers (SATB) and constitutes a central role in the parish's musical life, where classical music is given high priority.

Usually 1-2 movements are sung at the high mass, and concerts and musical services are often carried out in collaboration with external musicians. The Cantorei is led by organist and choir director Martin Norddahl and Svetlana Kuznetsova. In addition, the cantorei participates in 2 larger concert projects per year, besides special musical services such as Christmas, Easter and Pentecost.

Responsibilities & Salary Conditions

• Fixed monthly salary: 5,706.31 DKK. The monthly salary includes participation in high mass and services on Sundays and holidays.
• Extra earnings: There are good opportunities for additional earnings through separate services. These are remunerated at 450 DKK per service.
• Holidays and days off in lieu: There are 5 weeks of paid vacation per year. In addition, 2-3 extra days off per year when the church's folk choir and girls’ choir participate in the high mass.
• Conditions: Salary is paid during illness.
• iPad: An iPad is provided in connection with the position.

Qualifications & Profile

We are seeking a tenor at conservatoire-like level with

• Classical choral experience and good abilities for sight-singing.
• Ability to contribute to an ensemble of 4 singers in a relatively intimate church space in terms of vocal mass.
• Willingness to participate in a good working climate between employees and the parish council.
