About the job

Are you the Royal Danish Theatre's new host in Customer Service?

Are you a student and looking for a flexible student job that can fit your studies? Do you want to help create memorable experiences for thousands of guests every year? Then you may be one of the 3-5 new student employees that Customer Service at the Royal Danish Theatre is seeking.

At the Royal Danish Theatre we aim to create guest experiences that far surpass the ordinary and carry a strong touch of theatre magic. Our hosts in Customer Service are often among the first and last people that guests meet, and therefore the hosting role plays a crucial part in the overall experience.

As a host you will become part of an engaged team that helps our guests before, during and after their visit to the theatre. You will gain valuable experience in customer service, communication and problem solving, while we adapt the working hours to your studies as much as possible.

Your tasks as a host in Customer Service

As a host you assist our guests across telephone, email, chat and personal inquiries. You become an important part of the guests' experience and contribute to making the visit to the Royal Danish Theatre safe, easy and memorable.

You will, among other things

  • Provide attentive and personal service across contact channels
  • Advise guests about performances, seats and tickets
  • Help guests at our box offices in Skuespilhuset, the Opera House and the Old Stage
  • Handle several digital systems simultaneously
  • Solve challenges and create good customer experiences, even when things don't go as planned

We envision that you

  • Are at the beginning of a higher education
  • Want to create good experiences for other people
  • Thrive in the role of host and take pride in making guests feel welcome
  • Communicate clearly and friendly both verbally and in writing
  • Are curious and eager to continually develop yourself
  • Maintain composure and an overview, even when busy

Salary and terms of employment

Employment is as a student on an hourly wage under the Common Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance

and OAO-Stat as well as the Organisation Agreement for office workers, laboratory assistants and IT staff (HK).

You are employed between 10-25 hours per week depending on season, activity and your preferences. In connection with season launches, holiday periods and busy periods such as Christmas there is a possibility for more hours.

Working hours are primarily between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. every day of the week, so we are looking for a colleague who thrives with both day, evening and weekend work.

We place emphasis on mutual flexibility and plan the working hours in dialogue with you.
