About the job

Are you passionate about children's well-being, play and development? Do you believe that all children have something valuable to contribute, and would you like to help create communities where everyone feels welcome? Then perhaps you are the person we are looking for

At KKFOen at Skolen ved Sundet, we are looking for two engaged pedagogues or pedagogical assistants who want to make a difference in children's everyday lives – through close relationships, exciting activities and a strong collaboration with colleagues at the KKFO and at the school.

With us, it is important that all children feel they belong and have the opportunity to participate in the community on their own terms. We believe that all children have the potential to thrive, learn and develop when met with care, curiosity and positive expectations.

We work purposefully with diverse groups of children and with creating a leisure offering where all children can see themselves. It requires adults who are present, engaged and curious about the children's perspectives – and who can see opportunities, even when everyday life presents challenges.

As an employee with us you will be an important part of both KKFO's leisure-education work and the collaboration with the school. We work closely together to create coherence in the children's day, and if you are employed full-time, part of your working time will therefore also take place at the school.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who want to join an engaged work community, where we together take responsibility for ensuring that the children have a safe, fun and developing everyday life.

We hope that you

  • are good at creating positive and trusting relationships with children, parents and colleagues
  • have an eye for the individual child and at the same time can support the communities the children are part of
  • are keen to plan, implement and evaluate pedagogical activities based on the children's interests and needs
  • meet children and colleagues with a positive approach and see possibilities rather than limitations
  • are flexible and thrive in a busy daily life
  • actively contribute to the collaboration and are ready to lend a hand when children or colleagues need it

You don't need to be able to do everything from day one. The most important thing is that you want to engage with the children, contribute to the community and develop with us.

What can we offer you?

With us you have the opportunity to shape the pedagogical everyday life and help translate your ideas into activities that create joy, participation and development for the children.

We offer you

  • influence on the pedagogical practice, where your ideas and initiatives are welcome
  • a varied everyday life with room for movement, creativity, play and immersion
  • opportunity for professional development through shared reflection, meetings and collaboration on pedagogical initiatives
  • good physical premises with large green common areas, sports fields and play areas that invite activity and exploration

We are 21 employees who together share responsibility for our approximately 350 children. We are organised across year groups, so the children have the opportunity to play, form relationships and find communities across ages and genders.

We work with activity plans that ensure a wide range of offers with a particular focus on movement, creative expressions, language and community-building games. Our goal is to create a daily life where the children encounter different opportunities to express themselves and experience that they are an important part of the community.

We are a computer- and mobile-free institution, because we prioritise presence and togetherness. We want to be offline so we can be more present with the children. At the same time we work with child democracy and giving the children a voice. We do this, among other things, through a children’s newspaper that we prepare together with our three classes.

A KKFO Close to Beach, Nature and City

The KKFO at Skolen ved Sundet is located close to Amager Strand and the metro station. We have the children with us from 12:00 to 17:00, and our everyday is filled with opportunities to create good experiences, strong relationships and meaningful communities.

We hold weekly meetings both in the overall staff group and in our task groups. Here we share experiences, develop our pedagogical practice and find solutions together.

You will become part of a workplace where we take joint responsibility, help each other and work to ensure that all children have the opportunity to participate.

If you can see yourself in a daily life where relationships, play, communities and children's development are central, we look forward to hearing from you.
