Two student assistants for Communication at TEC

Can you tell a good story with a camera in hand? Or are you the type who can both write the great invitation and get 300 guests safely through the door?

So perhaps you’re the one we’re looking for.

We are seeking two student assistants, each with their own academic focus: film, photography and sound or events and communications.

At TEC we educate, among others, electricians, aircraft technicians, welders, plumbers and gymnasium students. And there is plenty to tell. We want to get more young people to discover the possibilities of a technical education – and get closer to the reality we communicate about.

This is where you come in. We’re not looking for two students who can do everything. We’re looking for two who are really good at something – and want to become even better.

Profile 1: You with the camera – content creator for film, photography and sound

You don’t need 10 years of experience and a shelf full of prizes. But you should already be well on your way to mastering your craft.

As a content creator you will help tell stories from TEC in film, images and sound. You can film, take good pictures and edit your material into a finished production. One day you might be in an auto workshop filming students working on an engine. The next day you take portraits of a lecturer, edit a video for Instagram or TikTok, or edit audio for a podcast.

You will, among other things,

• film, photograph and edit film, images and sound
• produce content for social media, website and internal communication channels
• develop ideas and formats together with our SoMe team and the rest of the Communications Department
• contribute to podcast and other audio productions.

We expect you to have practical experience with film and photography and to be able to work in relevant editing programs. However, you don’t need to know everything. With us you’ll have the opportunity to try yourself out, receive feedback and develop professionally.

We want to see what you can do. Therefore, you should link to examples of films, pictures, audio or other content you have produced.

Profile 2: You with the overview – events and communications

Are you the type who notices whether the sign is in the right place, whether guests know where to go – and whether the email before the event actually gave them the information they needed?

Then you might be the one we’re missing.

You will help create good encounters with TEC – especially when prospective students and their parents meet us at, for example, open houses and visit days. You will also work with inaugurations, networking days, award ceremonies and internal events.

For us, events are about the whole experience. From the invitation and pre-event communications to signage, materials and the practical execution on the day.

You will, among other things,

• plan, coordinate and carry out events
• work with the physical touchpoints in future students’ journey towards an education choice
• coordinate signage, materials and communications around events
• write and tailor content for, for example, website, email marketing, social media and internal communication channels.

We imagine you are structured, good at keeping an overview and not afraid to roll up your sleeves. And you should be able to write clearly and purposefully for different audiences and channels.

Who are you – and who are we?

You are pursuing a relevant higher education. Perhaps you are studying communication, journalism, marketing, events, media or something completely different. Your exact degree title is not the most important. It is your competencies, your curiosity and your desire to apply what you learn in practice.

You should be able to work independently and take responsibility, but also enjoy collaborating and reaching out to people you don’t know.

You will become part of the Communications Department at TEC, where we work with social media, press, web, internal communication, marketing, events, graphic design, film, photography and podcasts. We have different professional backgrounds, develop ideas together, give feedback and help each other when things are moving fast.

TEC has several addresses in the metropolitan area, and you should be willing to come away from the desk and out to our schools, in workshops and among students and teachers.

Salary and terms

Both positions are 15 hours per week, typically spread over two days per week. Working hours, however, may vary.

Your primary workplace will be TEC in Frederiksberg, but you should expect to travel to our different addresses in the Copenhagen area. We accommodate your studies, schedule and exam periods – and at the same time expect flexibility regarding hours and tasks. Evening work may occur, especially in connection with events and productions.

Salary and employment terms follow the current agreement between the Ministry of Finance and HK/State.

Start date: December 1, 2026.
