Fundraiser with a passion for green transition and circular economy

Do you want to help develop tomorrow's green and circular solutions – and turn knowledge and ideas into projects that make a difference?

The Green Transition domain is seeking a fundraiser, where the majority of tasks will need to be solved in the 8-year EU-funded project Circular Economy Beyond Waste (CEBW), which has been created to implement the national action plan for the circular economy and is driven by a partnership of 30 organisations. The project secretariat is located in Silkeborg Municipality.

We are looking for someone who wants to develop and mature new projects, create strong partnerships, and ensure concrete fundraising for implementation. You must both be proactive in finding good ideas and able to grab the ideas when they arise – and from there concretize and develop towards grant applications.

Your tasks

You will play a central role in the secretariat's upcoming work with project development and fundraising and will, among other things, be responsible for:

• Developing strategy and concrete plans for the fundraising effort based on results and knowledge created in CEBW and with a focus on both Danish and international partners
• Developing and maturing new projects and partnerships, where Silkeborg Municipality participates as a partner
• Identifying relevant funding opportunities and translating ideas into strong project concepts and concrete applications.
• Contributing to strengthening competencies and working methods for project development and fundraising in Green Transition and more broadly in Technology and Environment

You will, as needed, also take part in our common secretariat tasks in CEBW, which among other things include:

• Planning and organizing conferences, workshops, study tours
• Progress reporting and documentation
• Other tasks where we help each other and lift together

We imagine that you…

• Have experience with project development and writing grant applications to EU and Danish funds aimed at green transition – and that you can document your experience and success in securing external funds
• Have experience in creating cross-organizational collaborations and partnerships

Experience with international cooperation is an advantage, but not a requirement.

You know the basic principles of the green transition and circular economy and are ambitious about developing projects with significant positive climate and environmental impact. In CEBW we work with planetary boundaries, where reduction of production and consumption are essential elements within circular economy. It is crucial that you can understand complex professional issues and translate them into strong fundable projects.

You will become part of the Green Transition domain, which is located in Silkeborg Municipality's Technical and Environmental Department. The domain consists of 13 employees and a manager and comprises three teams: CEBW, Climate Secretariat, and Energy and Resources. We work with different parts of the green transition, but with a common ambition to bring our areas into play and create cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Green Transition is part of the Nature, Environment and Climate section in the Technical and Environmental Department. Here we work with both authorities tasks, planning and development, which provides good opportunities to connect different areas of expertise and develop new initiatives and collaborations – both internally in the municipality and with external actors.

In Circular Economy Beyond Waste – which will be your primary area of responsibility – we work to accelerate the circular transition through innovation, collaboration and concrete actions. We support the partnership in succeeding with the shared objectives – both by developing new initiatives, collaboration relationships and partnerships and by ensuring the coordination, planning and administration that makes the collaboration function in daily life.

You will be part of a small, dedicated secretariat where we work closely together and help each other across tasks. You will have ample opportunity to influence your own work areas and actively contribute to the joint development of the project.

Practical information

The position is full-time and is scheduled for a 3-year project appointment with start on January 1, 2027 .

Salary and terms of employment follow the applicable collective agreement.
