Instructors in E-commerce and Digital Marketing with strong technical understanding

Do you want to help train the specialists who create digital growth and align customers, data and business? At Copenhagen Business Academy (EK) you have the opportunity to translate strong technical e-commerce competencies into practice-oriented teaching and develop the education closely together with students, colleagues and the business community.

The job

You will become part of the program area Trade and Marketing, which is located at EK on Nansensgade in inner Copenhagen. You will join a professionally strong team that daily teaches on E-commerce, Digital Marketing and E-commerce. We are now looking for a colleague who can supplement with solid technical insight and help translate new technological possibilities into teaching and practice.

We are looking for both teachers for E-commerce and Digital Marketing as well as E-commerce, where E-commerce is a top-up within the E-commerce area.

The education in E-commerce and Digital Marketing educates professional bachelor graduates who can connect digital trade, marketing, technology, data and business development. The teaching is practical and draws, among other things, on real issues from companies.

Your primary tasks will be to

• plan, conduct and evaluate teaching within the prioritized subject areas
• advise students in projects and internships and contribute to a coherent and meaningful study environment
• develop teaching programs, cases and learning activities based on technological development and industry practice
• participate in relevant development and research activities and build relationships in practice

The education is under development, and you will therefore have a real opportunity to make your mark on the development and implementation of the subjects and the education. You will work closely with experienced colleagues on planning and conducting the teaching, but you are also expected to work independently and in a structured manner.

Your qualifications and competences

The right candidate can have different profiles. The essential thing is that you are motivated to educate the future e-commerce professionals and can translate your knowledge into relevant and engaging teaching.

We emphasize that you have

• relevant master's degree and experience within e-commerce, digital marketing, digital business development or a related field
• solid technical competencies within e-commerce for building a Shopify store, including HTML, CSS and tracking implementation
• can communicate clearly and make complex, technical material understandable and applicable for students
• enjoy working independently while actively contributing to the team's shared tasks
• ability to structure and prioritize tasks in a daily routine with teaching, guidance, development and collaboration

Teaching experience is a plus, but not a requirement. If you have not taught before, we will support you, and you will participate in a teaching program that equips you for the teaching role.

We are especially looking for a profile who can teach in the following areas

• building and operation of a webshop e.g. Shopify
• HTML
• Statistical assessment of, among other things, A/B tests
• E-commerce and digital business development
• Implementation of tracking such as Google Analytics 4
• Digital business models
• SEO and content marketing
• Paid media
• Ethically responsible use of AI

Appointment as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor

You will be employed as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and the job structure for business academies, etc.

If you are new to the teaching role, you will be hired as an Assistant Professor and participate in EK's lecturer qualification program. This is a structured and proven program with a strong focus on your own competence development. Together with other assistant professors you will, among other things, review courses and supervision, which over four years will develop and strengthen your pedagogical and research competences to qualify you for a full professorship.

The program qualifies you to prepare your associate professor application and prepares you for the role as associate professor, where you handle teaching and research tasks with greater independence.

Appointment as associate professor requires a positive evaluation of associate professor in accordance with regulation no. 413 of 27 April 2025 on associate professor qualification.
