About the job
Would you like a job with meaning, flexibility and opportunities for professional and personal development? Then you might be one of our new instructors at Erhvervsakademi København (EK). We are looking for two instructors for the financial programs, based centrally in Copenhagen K.
The job
As an instructor you will be part of a academically strong team, where you together plan, implement and develop teaching programs for the students. Your colleagues have extensive experience, both from the financial sector and as instructors, and they have a strong passion for their subject. Knowledge sharing, sparring and collaboration are important parts of everyday life.
You will teach and guide students and, depending on your profile, you may work with one or more of the following subject areas:
- Microeconomics and macroeconomics
- Management accounting and auditing
- Business economics
- Personal finance
You will have the opportunity to develop your own competences during your employment through sparring, knowledge sharing, further education, competence development, research and development activities, and maintaining your connection to the industry.
As an instructor at EK you get a flexible and meaningful job at a modern educational institution that involves the industry in the teaching. We also provide technology and digital learning platforms so you can incorporate different learning methods in your teaching.
At EK we create applied and practice-oriented knowledge in areas including finance and economics. Research takes place in collaboration between adjuncts, associate professors and professors and often together with companies. The new knowledge contributes to developing the teaching and keeping it close to current challenges in business.
You also become part of a large educational organization with many skilled and experienced colleagues across disciplines and campuses. Collaboration and knowledge sharing are important parts of our culture.
Your profile and competences
You have a relevant economic education at master's level or equivalent and are passionate about sharing your knowledge. Perhaps you have already taught, perhaps not. The most important is that you want to make a difference for the students and contribute to the development of the programs.
We expect you to quickly learn new IT systems and use them as a natural part of your work, including Moodle, which is used in communication with the students. It is also an advantage if you have knowledge of or experience with AI from previous employment.
We would like you to
- have experience from the financial sector, e.g. banking, real estate, insurance, pension or auditing
- be curious about new technologies and learning methods, e.g. AI and digital teaching tools
- be able to communicate your expertise clearly and engagingly with a basis in practice
- thrive with responsibility and independence, but also value a good collegial community
Adjunct/Associate Professor
You will be appointed as an adjunct or associate professor according to the applicable agreement and the job structure for business academies, etc.
If you are new to the teaching role, you will be hired as an adjunct and participate in EK's lecturer qualification program. This is a structured and proven program with a strong focus on your own competence development. Together with other adjuncts you will, among other things, go through courses and supervision, which over four years develops and strengthens your pedagogical and research competencies with a view to qualifying you for a full professorship.
The program qualifies you to prepare your professorship application and prepares you for the role of professor, where you will handle teaching and research tasks with greater independence.
Appointment as a professor requires a positive professor evaluation in accordance with the executive order no. 413 of 27 April 2025 on professor qualification.
