About the job

Are you a lawyer with a high professional level, and are you a skilled teacher and communicator? Do you want to help form and teach the future police officers and police cadets and thereby contribute to ensuring a safe and secure society with the citizen at the center?

We are strengthening the law team at the Police School and are seeking lawyers with a basis in the above.

About the job

As a law instructor you will have a key role in communicating police law to the students at the Police School with a particularly strong focus on criminal law. You will also continuously contribute to developing material in the legal area and to adjusting teaching programs as needed.

You will become part of an interdisciplinary collaboration, consisting of both police-trained instructors and academics, where you jointly have the responsibility for teaching on the police's basic training programs. There will periodically also be opportunities to teach in the police's continuing and advanced training.

About you

We expect that you are educated cand.jur. and that you have a professional interest in the police as an organization, including the police's role and function in modern society. You have an independent approach to your tasks and areas of responsibility, and at the same time you are professionally curious about new knowledge and support the community and good cooperation.

It is not a requirement, but an advantage, if you have experience with teaching or processes, e.g. from a job in the public prosecutor's office.

We offer an exciting workplace where there will be opportunities for development both personally and professionally, and where we place a high priority on balancing family and work life. You will largely have influence over your workday with the possibility of remote work.

Salary and employment terms

You will be employed on collective agreement terms in accordance with the agreements between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC). You will be placed as a Junior/Associate/Chief Consultant depending on qualifications.

Your workplace will be Rigspolitiet, Police School, Training Center East with address at Brøndbyøster Boulevard 30 in 2605 Brøndby.

It is a full-time position of 37 hours per week.

It is a condition for employment that you can obtain a security clearance, and that you can maintain the necessary security clearance throughout your employment.

Police School has smoke-free working hours.

Contact and application

If you have questions, you are welcome to contact Police Commissioner, Peter Lihme, tel. 2249-8262, who due to the autumn holiday can be reached from Monday in week 43.

We see diversity as a strength and encourage all interested, regardless of background, to apply for the position.

Application deadline: 26 October 2026.

We expect to conduct interviews in late week 44.

In the police we all work together for safety and security

We are about 18,000 employees in the police, where about two thirds are police officers and police cadets and the rest are civilian staff. We are all deeply committed to ensuring that the kingdom is a safe and secure place to live – whether we work with the operational readiness, prevention or investigation, or contribute with one of the many other important functions of the police.

Rigspolitiet is the police's top authority and has the overall responsibility for the kingdom's 14 police districts and the National Unit for Serious Crime (NSK). We ensure that the police have the right framework for the police's work and development. We stand behind good leadership and education. Behind service weapons that match the task. Behind proper help if the wound has settled in the minds of our police colleagues. We stand behind technology that follows development. Behind the distribution of resources.

Behind the police of the future. It is us – the National Police – who are always behind those who stand at the front.
