About the job

Prevention & Indsats seeks a youth consultant for a permanent position 37 hours per week with employment starting January 1, 2027.

Are you motivated by making a real difference for young people experiencing mental distress, with risk behaviors and sometimes an active overuse of drugs?

Do you have knowledge of and experience with working with neurodivergent youths (ADHD/ADD and autism)?

Do you have experience with or willingness to facilitate group programs?

Can you navigate a varied workday with great variation in core tasks?

And can you translate and make visible your goal-oriented practice into written documentation?

So perhaps you are exactly who we are looking for!

Your upcoming workplace

Prevention & Indsats is a department with 22 staff members, handling many diverse tasks – from early preventive efforts to outpatient substance abuse treatment. The vacant position is in the youth team, where we deliver preventive interventions, interventions under the Child Act at the individual and group level, LAB Act and outpatient substance treatment. You must therefore be prepared to wear many “hats” in your employment – however there will be a predominance of support contact person interventions.

You will become part of a department where winds of change and development are in the air, and we are in full swing to qualify our organizing and practice. We are therefore looking for a colleague who is willing to learn and at the same time teach others. We focus on goals, progression and effect in the interventions, and the core task is solved in committed communities with focus on trust, dialogue and collaboration.

We believe that the best solutions are created together – both with the youths, their networks and across professional disciplines. We work purposefully to strengthen the youths’ resources, life skills and opportunities to participate in communities. We believe that young people should meet with acknowledgment and respect, and we work from a shared responsibility for the core task with an ambition to make a real difference – every day.

Your profile

Your daily life will be diverse and changing with a focus on the youths and their needs. We work from a resource-focused approach, where the youth’s overall life situation is considered in planning the intervention. You should thrive in working independently and at the same time see the value in being part of a team. We also place emphasis on your strong collaboration skills, that you are professionally well-founded, stable and able to work in a structured and goal-oriented way.

You will experience a pronounced degree of flexibility and trust in carrying out and planning your work, as we as a workplace find it valuable and necessary. For the same reason, we are looking for a flexible colleague who can act and decide on their own and is prepared to work with flexible working hours.

We are looking for a colleague who is focused on working with a broad target group of youths, their parents/networks and cross-disciplinary collaboration with internal and external partners. Candidates with knowledge of and experience with facilitating group programs will be highly valued.

Your duties

  • Support contact person interventions for youths up to 18 (23) years
  • Mentor interventions under the LAB Act
  • Support interventions for youths over 18 years (SEL § 82 A and B)
  • Planning and facilitation of group programs
  • Counselling and guidance for youths, parents and partners
  • Outpatient substance abuse treatment (drugs and alcohol) for youths up to 30 years (individual and group programs)
  • Systematic documentation in the professional system (Nexus)
  • Outreach interventions as needed

Our expectations of you

  • You have a social work or pedagogical basic education
  • You have solid experience with the target group and the types of interventions
  • You have knowledge of and experience with facilitating group programs
  • You have knowledge of co-creating processes between municipality and civil society
  • You have in-depth knowledge of neurodivergent disorders (particularly ADHD/ADD and autism)
  • You work systematically with goals, progression and documentation
  • You possess strong collaboration and relationship skills with the target group, their networks as well as internal and external partners
  • You have a driving licence (B) and your own car – and are willing to use it
  • You actively participate in cross-disciplinary communities and contribute to a positive work environment
  • You actively contribute to a daily life with room for laughter and an informal tone

We offer you

  • A workplace and everyday life characterized by trust, curiosity and a high professional standard
  • A collegial working community with focus on well-being and room to grow
  • A varied daily life characterized by very diverse tasks
  • Opportunity to influence the development of our offerings, interventions and practices
  • Supervision and professional development

Employment

The position is to be filled on 01.01.2027. Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.
