Vadum School and DUS are located in the town of Vadum, 10 km northwest of Aalborg. Vadum has an active local community, where the school and DUS have a close collaboration with an engaged parent group, other institutions and associations in the town.

Vadum School is an ambitious and well-functioning school with about 325 pupils and 50 dedicated staff members.

We need a maternity cover who can teach Danish, home economics and physical education at the middle level.

In our pedagogical/didactic practice we are very focused on the work with participation didactics. It is important for us to work on creating opportunities for participation for all children – both in our teaching and in daily life at the school in general. At present we are practicing being sharp in different learning processes and applying this practice. At the collaboration level we need to start developing our meeting structure and practices, through efforts around PLF across the whole school.

We would very much like you to be strong in class management and in a close school–home collaboration, where you focus on maintaining a close dialogue with the parents. You are structured and clear to the children regarding your teaching and your expectations of them.

• Interact clearly and properly in your dialogue – with colleagues, students and parents
• Appreciate close parental collaboration
• Are able to reflect pedagogically and didactically

The practical

• Appointment: 7/11-2026, or as soon as possible thereafter (end date unknown, as this is a maternity cover)

• Job interviews: Tuesday 3/11, after 14.00
• Salary and terms of employment according to the current collective agreement with DLF
