WE ARE LOOKING FOR A FURNITURE CARPENTER OR BUILDING CARPENTER

We are looking for a skilled furniture carpenter or building carpenter who would like to become part of our team at Gilbert & Gilbert.

With us no task is the same. We work with specially manufactured furniture, furniture and cabinet solutions, where each project requires us to think it through, look at the possibilities from several angles and find the best possible solution.

The heart of Gilbert & Gilbert is our 600 m² workshop, where we work with everything from custom-made furniture to larger inventory projects. We have a large, modern machine park, but also a great love for traditional carpentry craftsmanship and not least good, sharp hand tools.

We collaborate with a number of designers and architectural firms and in addition we have our own studio, where we develop and design furniture and fixtures. This means that we have a great variety in our tasks, and there is close dialogue between the design studio and the workshop. As a carpenter with us you will have the opportunity to contribute to developing the solutions and put your craftsmanship touch on the projects, not just execute what is on the drawing.

We are looking for someone who loves their craft, is curious and wants to immerse themselves in both the big picture and the small details.

You must be able to work independently and be willing to take responsibility for your own projects, from planning and production to the finished delivery. It also means being able to set realistic schedules, keep an overview, and have a good and constructive dialogue with customers and partners.

In return you will become part of a team of skilled carpenters who nerd out about cabinetmaking, materials, constructions and details. We share our knowledge, challenge each other and care about doing things properly.

We love wood. We love working with it every day, understanding the material and exploring what it can do. And we hope you feel the same way.

A workshop where it should also be nice to come to work

We place a strong emphasis on a good working environment. With us there is no room for the old, harsh workshop tone, where people talk down to each other. We talk to each other, help each other and have respect for each other and our different ways of working.

We believe that the best craftsmanship is produced when you thrive, have freedom with responsibility and feel part of the team.

In addition we have a lunch program, good coffee on the pot and room for both immersion, laughter and professional discussions.

Does that sound like a place for you?

Then we would love to hear from you. Write a little about yourself, your experience, and what you are passionate about within the carpentry profession. Also send a CV and a portfolio.
