We are seeking an educator (35–37 hours) for our nursery in Louis Petersen's Children's Garden. We are looking for someone who wants to be actively involved in the children’s play, who can create safe boundaries, follow the children’s initiatives and be curious about their world.

In the nursery, play is essential. This is where relationships are formed, language grows, and the children experience themselves as part of a community. Therefore you should be willing to play with, play in front of, and play beside the children. In connection with our strong focus on play, we have attached play researchers, where we dive deeply into the work with play.

About the nursery group

We are a nursery group with 12 children and 3 staff. The group is part of a house with a high share of educators, where professional sparring and reflection are a natural part of everyday life. You are not alone – we lift the task together.

Louis Petersen's Children's Garden

We are a large self-governing institution in Frederiksberg, affiliated with Børneringen. The house contains:

• 72 nursery children divided into 6 groups
• 90 kindergarten children divided into 4 groups
• A forest kindergarten group with 25 children in Rude Forest

We are about 45 staff and have management close to everyday life, with a leader in the house and management responsibility in all departments. This provides short decision paths and good opportunities for sparring.

• Are either newly graduated or experienced – regardless of your background you are welcome to apply
• Want to play and be physically and mentally present with the youngest children
• Can create calm, security and curiosity in daily life
• Have flair for and desire to include creative projects, movement, music, theatre or language in daily life – or perhaps you have something else you are passionate about? (it is not to be understood as you can do everything, but we look forward to hearing WHAT YOU are passionate about)
• See play, care and learning as closely connected
• Can work with learning environments – both indoors and outdoors
• Take responsibility and contribute actively to planning and reflection
• Are curious about your own and others’ practice
