About the job

Are you passionate about leadership, people and development – and do you want to make a difference?

We are looking for a leader who, together with Mathias and me, wants to be part of the management theme in the Home Guard's Resource - Support Department.

We can offer you a position as head of the Resource Section, where you will have responsibility for both people, operations and development – and where, in collaboration, we have many balls in the air and the opportunity to make a difference for the rest of the Home Guard.

If you think this sounds exciting, then maybe you are the one Mathias and I should work with going forward?

About us

The Resource and Support Department currently consists of 18 employees. You will become part of the Resource Division, which together with two other divisions and a management secretariat constitutes the Home Guard staff.

The Home Guard staff comprises around 180 employees in total, the majority of whom are based at Vordingborg Barracks.

Our primary tasks are to support the Home Guard staff and subordinate authorities with a wide range of administrative and personnel-related tasks. We are a mix of civilian and military staff, which creates a strong dynamic, different perspectives and good professional sparring in task solving.

In the department we have chosen five core values that describe the way we want to be

  • Decency
  • Accountability
  • Accommodation
  • Professionalism
  • We are the backbone of the Home Guard staff

Here you will have the opportunity to apply your skills and at the same time develop – both professionally and personally. We believe we are most successful when we give each other trust, flexibility and the opportunity for ongoing competence development.

About the position

As head of the Resource Section, you will have the management responsibility for an exciting section with eight employees who have a high professional level and a strong focus on collaboration and good solutions.

Your area of responsibility will include, among other things

  • Responsibility for selected areas within authority HR administration, including onboarding processes, appointment cases, course offerings, etc. in collaboration with the Personnel Command.
  • Responsibility for the daily operations and development of SAP AC, including the procuration matrix in the Home Guard.
  • Implementation of parts of the group’s HR settlement initiatives.
  • Responsibility for the continued building of the Home Guard's Requisition Center, which handles procurement requisitions and electronic goods receipt for the entire Home Guard.
  • Establishment of an office for administrative support for the reserve personnel affiliated with the Home Guard.
  • Establishment of the Home Guard Command's Operational Staff, within one's own area of responsibility.

In addition, you will serve as deputy for the head of the Resource and Support Department. This means that you not only take responsibility for your own section, but also play a central role in the department's overall leadership and development.

About you

We are looking for a leader who primarily is passionate about leading, developing and creating well-being among people.

Your specific educational background is not decisive. The most important is that you have the experience and leadership understanding required to lead a section.

We expect that you

  • Have leadership experience and the ability to create direction, engagement and development.
  • Are prepared to face a everyday where not everything is given in advance, and where operations, development and new tasks fill the day.
  • Can see yourself in the role as both leader, colleague and teammate.
  • Are keen to help develop both people, tasks and the Home Guard.

It would be advantageous if you have experience from the Defence Forces and are familiar with SAP systems and ESDH, but this is not a requirement.

Contract terms

You will be employed in accordance with the applicable collective agreement.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is the possibility of negotiating allowances. The position is tied to an employer-financed pension scheme.

The workplace is Vordingborg Barracks.

As an employee under the Ministry of Defence, you are subject to certain special terms. You must, among other things, be security cleared and maintain the clearance during the entire employment relationship.

You are, as an employee, obliged to render service outside the country’s borders, including at units in international operations with a view to participation in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peace-building, humanitarian and other similar operations.
