About the job
Næstved Swimming Pool seeks lifeguards – maybe you are the one we’re missing on the team?
Do you enjoy working with people? Do you thrive on responsibility, good colleagues and a day-to-day where no two days are the same?
Then you might be our new colleague at Næstved Swimming Pool.
We are seeking lifeguards who want to become part of an engaged team in one of Denmark's most modern swimming facilities.
You do not need experience as a lifeguard to apply. The most important thing is that you are eager to learn, take responsibility and meet both guests and colleagues with a smile.
For us, the job is about more than safety by the pools. It is also about presence, community and giving our guests a great experience.
A daily life where you make a difference
As a lifeguard you help create safety for children, families, fitness enthusiasts and our many other guests.
Your primary task is to ensure guests' safety through active and attentive pool surveillance. But you are also a visible and welcoming host who contributes to the good atmosphere in the building.
Your tasks include
- Ensure active and attentive pool surveillance and handle safety-related situations.
- Help and guide guests of all ages.
- Contribute to activities and great guest experiences.
- Participate in cleaning and practical operations.
- Participate in lifeguard training and competence development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a safe and well-functioning everyday life.
Who are you?
You may have experience from service, sports, teaching, health or working with children and families. You may come from a completely different industry and want to try something new.
We place particular emphasis on the following
- Are approachable and enjoy working with people.
- Are responsible and can stay calm in pressured situations.
- Thrive on teamwork and contribute to a good working environment.
- Have a desire to learn new things and develop.
- Can work independently and take responsibility.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to pass the professional lifeguard exam.
We are open 363 days a year, so you must be prepared for varying work hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
If you have not previously worked as a lifeguard, that should not hold you back. We emphasize your motivation and your personal competencies.
Olitch A good working life is also about good colleagues
At Næstved Swimming Pool we believe that the best guest experiences are created by employees who thrive and help each other.
We want a workplace with room for diversity, good humor and professional development, where everyone contributes to the sense of community.
With us you get
- A modern and exciting workplace with many different activities.
- A strong collegial community with a focus on well-being and collaboration.
- Ongoing training and opportunities to develop your competencies.
- Opportunity to contribute ideas for activities and experiences.
- A varied workday where you make a difference for others.
We help each other across tasks. Therefore, safety, guest service, cleaning and practical operations are a natural part of the job.
If you have experience and want more responsibility, there may in time also be an opportunity to become a shift-leading lifeguard.
Become part of Næstved Swimming Pool
Each week we welcome thousands of guests to AquaArena, PlaskeLand and Oasen.
We work every day to create a swimming pool where guests feel safe and welcome, and where our employees are proud to be part of the team.
We are not only looking for skilled lifeguards. We are looking for good colleagues who want to make a difference – for our guests and for each other.
If you can see yourself with us, we would love to hear from you. You do not need to be able to check all the boxes to submit an application.
