About the job
The important role as process owner in Property Taxation Business Development
Property Taxation Business Development is a hub of knowledge about property taxation in Denmark. We handle tasks within municipal property tax, coverage charge, property value tax, tax rebate and housing tax loan, and we work with business development in a complex landscape of rules, systems and administration.
As our new process owner, you will play a completely central role in the property tax area. You will become part of a versatile team that together oversees the entire complex property tax area, and the significant change it is still undergoing. Regardless of your background, it will be an exciting and developmental job for you, where you also become a key factor in developing the property taxation area. As process owner you will become an expert in the Property Tax Act, develop processes and systems for property taxation and thus help to secure a substantial part of the financing of the public sector.
Your tasks will be diverse, and you will move in the tension between numbers, legislation, IT and operations administration. You thrive in a changing everyday life, where one day you delve into a complex system landscape in the morning and read requirement specifications and relevant legal texts in the afternoon. The next day you follow up on reported system errors with our partners, or write a note to our management about handling a complex issue with implications for citizens' housing tax.
Common to the tasks is that they demand a lot from you, your curiosity and not least your ability to collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders.
Here’s what we’re looking for
- You may have experience with larger IT projects, including process understanding and interest in IT, testing and further development of existing systems
- You can plan, drive and carry out independent clarifications from start to finish, and seek sparring from colleagues to ensure the quality of your work
- You are aware of your strengths and weaknesses, and you know how you come across to other people
- Good at building relationships and can convey complex connections to other professional areas than your own.
Experience from similar positions such as e.g. process owner, system owner, system administrator, business analyst or knowledge of the taxation area is an advantage, but not a requirement.
You preferably have an academic education in social sciences, law, IT or data science. We would also like to hear from you if you are a recent graduate. The most important is that you are curious and have the desire and ability to dive into a new subject area. It is important for us that you have considered why the specific property tax area could be interesting to work with.
You show integrity and have an entrepreneurial spirit
It requires a high level of personal integrity and propriety to work with taxation of citizens in Denmark. Therefore we expect you to take care of the task, the taxpayers, and your colleagues. It also requires a certain entrepreneurial spirit to work with such a complex subject as property taxation, and what is meant by that is that the community is the starting point for solving the tasks, and that we often face a problem for which we have no prior example.
It requires both courage, curiosity, and a healthy collegial community. We are therefore also focused on ensuring that we thrive, learn and develop when we are at work. We ensure thorough onboarding to the area, offer good continuing education opportunities and focus on your development, and support you in your further career in the Assessment Authority or somewhere else in the Tax Administration. In the department we place emphasis on a good work-life balance.
We are focused, and deliver on tight deadlines when necessary, but also have flexible working conditions, social events and good facilities at Frederiksberg.
Contact and terms of employment

A case or a logical analysis and a personality assessment may be part of the recruitment process. Prior to employment references and a criminal record check will be obtained.
You will be employed under the collective agreement in accordance with the current collective agreement for academics in the state (AC), the collective agreement for office workers, laboratory technicians and IT staff (HK) or the collective agreement for Clerks etc. (DTS) in the Ministry of Taxation and Growth.
The employment area is the Ministry of Taxation and Growth with its associated institutions. Your workplace will be Lindevangs Allé 8-12, Frederiksberg.
