About us

The Danish Defence Supply Service is a modern logistics company, and a very central actor in the Defence's supply chain. We support the Ministry of Defence's Group with delivery of all types of supplies and logistical services. We deliver logistics on time to all users with the greatest possible precision.

Supply Center Høvelte in North Zealand is part of the Supply Department, which delivers supplies directly to Defence's deployed units and soldiers – deployed in operations either at home or outside the country's borders. We mainly serve units and users in North Zealand, in Høvelte and in Greater Copenhagen.

At the Supply Center we are a team of about 35 colleagues - both civilian and military personnel. Cooperation and participation are a natural part of daily life. We maintain a fairly informal tone and place our professionalism and the ability to provide a really good and stable service for our customers very high.

About the position

As our new colleague in the munitions section you, together with the rest of the team, will be tasked with servicing our units in North Zealand, the staff at Høvelte Barracks, and in the Copenhagen area, in relation to the operation of the issued munitions, including replacement, sampling and issue.

You also participate in both the in- and outfitting of conscripts as well as the issuing of special equipment to soldiers deployed in international operations. Furthermore you will participate in the normal warehouse operations e.g. stock control, counting of available stock, disposal of worn ammunition etc.

In the munitions section we have a high degree of customer contact - both in connection with counter service during opening hours and regarding dispatches agreed at other times. Our team behind the munitions section is the face of Supply Center Høvelte to the outside. The position thus requires your personality and your ability to actively contribute to the team's task solving and planning as well as to maintain an overview when things get a bit busy.

About you

We would like you to have a qualification as a warehouse and logistics operator. But if you are unskilled with warehouse experience and you are prepared to take supplementary education and courses as needed, you can still be considered for the position.

We would like you to have a driver's license and forklift certificate.

Responsibility and quality are fundamental values for the Defence and we expect you to actively take responsibility in relation to shaping the tasks you are given.

We expect you to put energy into your work, to be engaged and proactive as a person, and to enjoy collaborating with others. When the situation requires, you are also able to work independently with the tasks assigned.

If you have a past in the Defence, that's an advantage, but not a requirement.

Conditions of employment

The employment is in accordance with the current Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organizations – The Public Sector (OAO-S collective agreement) and the Organization Agreement for cleaning assistants, sanitizers, skilled workers and certain vocational graduates etc. in the state etc. (3F).

The base salary as a skilled warehouse and logistics operator is 28,911.92 DKK per month with journeyman certificate. If you are unskilled, employment will be as a special worker, where the base salary is 26,228.00 DKK per month.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies, there is a possibility for negotiation of allowances. There is an employer-financed pension scheme attached to the position.

The workplace is in Høvelte.

As an employee in the Defence Ministry's area you are subject to some special conditions. You must, among other things, be able to obtain security clearance and maintain the security clearance during the entire employment.

You as an employee have an obligation to render service outside the country's borders, including at units in international operations with the aim of participating in conflict prevention, peacekeeping, peace-building, humanitarian and other similar operations.

About the Defence Supply Service

The Defence Supply Service became part of the Operational Support Command on 1 January 2026, which is a staff that plans, coordinates and partly manages logistical operations across the Defence and develops the logistical area and setup in pace with the Defence's development.

The Operational Support Command consists, in addition to the staff, of four authorities with their own specific tasks. The Defence Maintenance Service, the Defence Medical Command, the Defence Supply Service and the Joint Movement and Transportation Organisation.
