About the job
Do you want to support children with special needs and their families – and become part of a team with both heart and humor?
Are you ready for a job where you can actually make a difference for children and their families?
In connection with the latest budget negotiations, more funds have been allocated to the children and youth area in Rudersdal Municipality. This means that we can now strengthen our authority work with an additional permanent position in our special team. At the same time, the department has been hit by a baby boom, and therefore we are also looking for a child advisor for a maternity leave replacement in the same team.
If you want to be part of a department with high professional standards and strong collegiality, read on.
About the job
As a child advisor in the special team, you will be a central part of the efforts for children and young people with special needs aged 0-16 years. You work with everything from notifications, screenings and assessments to child-related investigations, and you initiate interventions both under the Child Act § 32 and/or disability compensation benefits such as lost earnings and compensation benefits.
You accompany the family throughout the process and ensure that the intervention actually makes a difference – with the goal that the child/young person and the family get the best possible conditions to cope well in everyday life. This also means that you will work closely with the municipality's schools, kindergartens/early childhood services, PPR and the health visiting service.
Throughout the department we are about 37 employees – including two department heads and an authority chief.
